Disappointing Update
The new app removed the ability to make single issue purchases and I was unable to restore any purchased issues prior to 2023.
I would still purchase single issues but will never pay $50 for a subscription. Seems like a poor move on the part of the new publisher.

Impossible to read my old mags. The app doesnt restore my old mags…

FIX THIS Damned APP. It has NOT worked on either IPAD nor iPHONE since iOS 18.6 or iOS 26.0 .
New App needs work
My subscription is with Flying magazine thru 2027. New app version wants be to subscribe or buy the current issue. Logging in gets be issues from 2022 and 2023, nothing this year. I wish I could go back to prior version. That recognized my account.
Not great
Been a Flying subscriber since the 80s. This digital app could be much better. The biggest annoyance is the 2+ weeks delay from notice of new issue to availability on this app. Why such a long wait in digital times!?
Why bother mags don’t show up for weeks after release
Just download the pdf from the website. This app doesn’t show the availability of new editions for weeks if at all. Tried reinstalling several times to little success and no response from support. A fine mag shot down by a stupid app.

I wish they would allow the readers to purchase hard copies of the back issues they have missed, if they allow the reader to purchase hard copies of back issues they don’t make it easy too!
Horrible app
Worthless app. No way to read offline (for those times when you would really like to read a magazine because the Wi-Fi is down on your 14-hour transpacific flight). There is also no way to restore a purchase once the app has decided that you’re no longer allowed to access your paid subscription.

New owner has ruined a once great publication
Long time subscriber. Enjoyed the hard copy version the most. The latest owner has reduced content and raised prices. I still decided to stay.
I subscribed to the email version back in June 2023. I received one email link to one edition. That’s it. So I called in October and a recording stated to call back because the phone system was being updated.
I emailed requesting a refund. No response. Summation of new owner: raise prices, cut content and ignore your subscribers when they contact you.
I’m done. The end of a once great publication.

Cannot restore purchase using Apple account
I’m have tried for a year. No customer support ability. Will cancel subscription

I paid but cannot access the current issues.
Who would call these “improvements”
You limit the number of issues, the app won’t allow reading offline, you tout the new feel of better paper… seriously? These are things that would be fixed by the old subscription and owners. My subscription is cancelled and Plane and Pilot is the beneficiary.

Hi - We have just updated the app to a major new version. We hope it addresses the issue you had reading the digital subscription! Over the next couple of weeks, we're loading a lot more back issues (10-15 years) so there's a lot more coming.
(UPDATE) Frustrated subscriber cannot read my latest issue
There is no account management or ability to sign in and I cannot figure out how to read my flying mag digital edition. The application just seems to bloated with advertisements and impossible to use. I just want to be able to select library, select my issue and have a great reading experience.
Update: The latest app fixes the ability to actually read. Your login is your customer ID. The reading experience is lack luster trying to get full screen.
Also it crashes if you try to press the top right button (I thought that would expand the view) but crashes on all iOS devices.

Very disappointing changes … cancelled subscription
I’ve been a long time subscriber (and decades long reader) of Flying Magazine. The dramatic changes to the app were all for the worse. The readability of the content suffered and virtually every new “feature” of the app and interface detracted from the user experience - and the social media like format has compromised the benefits of longer form and more in depth content. I was hoping they would recognize that these changes are unwelcome and revise the app significantly, but I’ve seen no indication that’s going to happen and have reluctantly cancelled my subscription.

Antes da atualização de software que foi feita era uma excelente revista, conseguia acessar todas as edições. Fui assinante por mais de dez anos, agora nem para abrir as edições funciona, mais parece um blog que uma revista. Lamentável.

The new app is terrible. How hard can it be to just simply provide a magazine I have paid for and allow me to read it with ease. Dump this app. I no longer have access to all my past issues that I have paid for. Very sad Flying. You used to be my favorite aviation magazine.

Past and current issues are gone!
Very frustrated that I can’t read even the current issue via the app without clicking on each article one at a time. Might as well just surf the web. And the past issue library is completely gone. I stopped saving the paper issues some time ago because I thought I would always be able to access past articles online but now all the great past articles are gone. Very sad to lose the archive as many of those older articles were an aviation treasure.

This app really went downhill
