So cool and Fast!
First time we tried ordering through the app it must have been a little windy, so a driver delivered. We weren’t charged extra. THIS time, we were surprised and a little excited to see that drone come buzzing over. Drop location was spot on! We will most definitely be using Flytrex for our random dinner deliveries! 🖤

Hovered without delivering
It hovered above house twice without making the drop. They offered to hand deliver it but I figured the food would be cold by the time they brought it. First and last time using them.

Ordered from Chicken Expresss. Easy to order, took my money right away then 10 min later canceled my order and gave me a credit - not a refund !!
Didn’t meet my expectations
I signed up received multiple promo codes that I couldn’t even use bc the codes that were given to me from a support agent via email was only used for certain states like ex NC 🙄. Then, for my food order to be delivered by a darn drone it taken way longer than expected as I felt like I could’ve just used a human delivery driver at this point. When a food item was out on my order I wasn’t notified immediately by whoever was suppose to notify me. All ik is I was sitting/waiting at the drop off zone spot at a park longer than 40 mins. I just told the support agent that I prefer to cancel w/o even getting a discount for a next meal for their miscommunication poor drove service. Maybe it’s bc it’s still new but that’s beside the point. There was no kind of consistency w this company for me. My food would’ve came quicker just by using DD, Ubereats, &/or GrubHub by a human driver. Idk if I’ll try it again just to see IF this drone issue approved much.

Issues
High cancellation rate of drone deliveries, leading to delays. Make sure you look up the history of this company. I will say they have a great customer service team.

Super experience fun way to deliver food unfortunately it wasn’t able to do that because of the wind, but that’s OK still Fast Delivery!

Not worth it
They used to be worth it when they actually delivered by drone, but now they have random people pick up the food and not deliver at all. The tracking/timer is not good either. Just use DoorDash.
Now vs. then
When the app first started, they advertised only a $2.00 delivery and never adding to the restaurant charge. Now, they have added about 25% to the restaurant prices and still charge the $2.00 delivery fee.
Beware, not a real “in store price guarantee “
I’ve been using Flytrex service for a few months. The only reason I use this over other food delivery service companies is because they provide an “in store price guarantee” and you pay a $2 fee. That feels fair. However, I just found out today that they actually do up charge your items up to 20% depending!! So I ended up paying $15 more for my order (pickup vs Flytrex) . They upcharged every single item bc the restaurant actually had attached the actual receipt! So so disappointing. Beware if you’re expecting to actually pay the in store price.

I’d give zero stars if I could
This is my 4th order through Flytrex. Every one has been a disaster. This order has two failed drone attempts, with a promise of a hand-delivered meal on its way (75 min late). Then a notification that my dinner order was canceled.

UX design by incompetence
The flytrex app is designed for a very narrow set of hardware and configurations. I run my iPhone on a large character set and the app does not scale. It is literally useless because I can’t login using a flytrex account because the screen doesn’t properly scale or school on the main landing page. Very poor UAT testing. I would be embarrassed to have launched this. Too bad because I would be a power user. See ya!

Great concept but poor execution
To be clear about this negative review, we’ve ordered from them more than half a dozen times and only a few of the orders have been successful. By that, I mean on time and food not cold or missing items. Their ETAs on delivery within their app are also wildly inaccurate except for when the drone is actually in flight. Customer service is decent, but at the end of the day, we pay for the novelty of drone delivery (not delivery by an Uber driver, which they sometimes do) and we expect timely and accurate delivery. We’re now done with them, which is a shame…

I’ve ordered this twice! It is cheaper than grub hub which I get free delivery! My son loves it. No spills from drinks,and also something cool for my 7 year old to watch
Only when desperate
My orders have been either wrong or cold for my past 3 deliveries using Flytrex. I recommend you only use this service when you are desperate. It’s hit or miss and not very consistent.

Order time was stuck on 4 minutes for 20 minutes and food was cold when it arrived
