Needs improvement
The app does not provide users with the ability to clearly see and read product labels. It does not provide country of origin information/product of x country for many items. The app does not allow you to click on your cart from the home screen. The app is challenging to navigate. The app is also full of glitches, something that becomes apparent very quickly. It is very frustrating to use.

Garbage
Never works always encounters an error
bad app
Doesn’t even launch. Tried deleting it, redownloading, restarting my phone, just spins and gets stuck at the loading page.
Won’t go past log in screen
Since the latest update, I can’t get it to go past the screen that says food basics with blueberries. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
The app sucks
I deleted and re-downloaded this app probably 10 times and it will not allow me to sign in. I got to sign in once or twice way back when but it never lets me use the app when I want to use it when I’m shopping and it won’t let me login. It’s when it’s at the sign in page. I hit sign in it and it just keeps thinking and thinking and never lets me in puts me back to the signing page and then I just I just deleted. I just did it again because it’s not working.

I went shopping today and I tried to open the app. It would not open. It took five minutes for it to get to the page where it says to sign in I clicked on sign in and that’s as far as it went. It won’t even let me sign in now for some reason I’ve deleted it three times re-downloaded it and then hit the sign in button. It thinks for two minutes and goes right back to the sign in screen. It won’t even allow me to sign in now I don’t know what’s going on.

Removed within a day
Stuck in the cart , super annoying with their offer makes the app hard to follow, keep pushing for offers is very distracting when you want to use the app . Overall a waste of.
Can’t sign in
Everytime I try to sign in, I get an error message that says try again later 😔 Do better Food Basics!!

AI Cart Genius. Why?
Who requested this AI Cart Genius?? User should be able to disable or delete this annoying pop-up with every search.
Frustrating
Good luck trying to change your store to view the flyer. I put in the postal code for the store I wanted to go to and it didn’t pop up. What’s worse this was listed as my “favorite” store. App sent me to a store 20 km away from that woth a different flyer. They need to hire some better app developers cause this app is frustrating and useless

App not opening
On iPhone 11 the app has work up until this week. I have tried everything but it will not open.
Can order from the app now
Before you could only use the app for coupons and flyer - you had to go to the actual website if you wanted to make an online order. They recently added online ordering to the app!
Could be better - design it for user needs
Food Basic = App is Basic. Seems like it’s designed and developed with least amount of effort and cheapest development budget. When you open the app you see a banner in the app asking you to “download the app” 😂😂😂
Apps for the users and their needs & not what developers think people need.
For example not everyone wants to order pickup. Not everyone has the budget to make the minimum purchase $ for pickup. Some of us like going inside the store. Your competitor’s apps allow customers to create a shopping list within the app. Yours is designed only for pickup and the prices shown are for pickup and sometimes cheaper than in-store. Don’t push me to order pickup.
I like to create a list so I can remember what I need at the store.
Also: There is no feedback option on the app. This shows that the developers don’t care if their app works for the user. Create a feedback option on the app so you can continuously improve the app based on what your customers want and based on the frustrations they may encounter while using the app.

The app never works
I can never enter the app, it just keeps spinning after putting credentials to sign in.

I can never get this app to work. Sign in then it stays on loading and never actually get into the app.
Could be better - design it for user needs
I just downloaded the app and I don’t mind it. I can see that the developers improved it. However, they need to design the app for the users and their needs. Not everyone wants to order and pickup. I use your competitor company’s app to create my shopping list before I go there. The shopping list is mine, not for ordering online and picking up. It’s for me to help me remember what I need when I’m at the store. The current shopping card shows me a giant banner taking 1/4 or 1/3 of the screen trying to remind me that I need to add more items to Mae the minimum $ for pickup. Please don’t push me to shop differently and fix your app so it is designed for my use, not how you think I should be using it. I will edit this review once I see that you’re improving the app based on the feedback here.
