PAYMENT SYSTEM IS A JOKE — OR WORSE, A DATA TRAP
I tried ordering food for my family living abroad — a simple, heartfelt gesture — and this app turned it into a nightmare. I entered 5 different debit and credit cards. FIVE. Every single one was declined with zero explanation. No error code, no support, nothing.
At that point, the question stops being “why doesn’t this work” and starts being “why does this app keep asking me to try another card?” It feels less like a food delivery app and more like a card skimmer dressed up with a nice UI. I’m not saying that’s what it is — but when a legitimate app fails this badly at payments, it’s impossible not to wonder.
It’s 2026. Apple Pay has existed for over a decade. Google Pay too. Every half-decent food app on the market supports them. Foodmandu doesn’t. Instead, they make you manually punch in card after card into a system that apparently can’t process any of them. That’s not a minor inconvenience — that’s a serious security concern and a complete failure of basic product development.
I never got to feed my loved ones. I wasted an hour of my time and potentially exposed multiple cards to a broken or unsafe system.
Fix your payment infrastructure. Add Apple Pay. Add Google Pay. Or shut the app down until you can handle people’s financial data responsibly. This is embarrassing for 2026.

So thankful
I would be lost (and hungry) without Foodmandu. On those nights when I am tired and don’t have the energy to cook, It is lovely to be able to open the app and order food. Usually it arrives within 45 minutes. I really like being able to see the progress of my order in the app. I know exactly when I should be outside waiting for the driver.
