About

Fort McMurray 468 First Nation's free app is for anyone who wants to follow life on the shores of Gregoire Lake, south of Fort McMurray. News from the Nation, as soon as it's posted. Events at Nikinan and Indian Beach, in a tap. Job openings, from nursing to truck driving, in one list. Camp schedules and project updates, ready to open. Safety notices, straight to your phone. Day to day, the feed tells you when the community shuttle runs and which days it heads into Fort McMurray for errands, and it carries water project updates, road safety reminders and a heads-up whenever a bear is spotted along Lakeshore Drive. The calendar keeps track of what's coming, like Wellness Tuesdays, a financial wellness workshop and Christmas at Kookum's, alongside favourites such as the Fall Feast chili and stew cook-off, the Culture & Language Camp at Indian Beach and Treaty Days. Add any event to your phone's calendar with one tap. Save posts with the heart, search for older ones, and turn on notifications so nothing important slips by. Works on iPhone and iPad.

2.93.3

October 29, 2026

What's New • Smoother Feed: Scrolling is noticeably smoother, and posts no longer repeat or change order while you scroll. • Quicker Tabs: Switching tabs and signing in reload less, so the feed appears sooner. • Highlighted Notes: Important notes in posts now stand out in a shaded box. • Easier-to-Read Links: Links in posts stay clear and readable in dark mode. • Calendar: The month arrows now stay on the month you choose. • Notifications: Tapping a notification opens its post, even right after you install the app, and new installs set up notifications more reliably. • Slow Connections: Pages load more reliably when the signal is weak. Recently added: • Community Calendar: A tab with a month and week view of everything coming up. Tap a day to see its events, open one for the time and location, and add it straight to your own calendar. • Instant Search: Find any post in seconds, with results that appear as you type. • Richer Posts: News and events support headings, bold text, lists and links. • Custom Categories: Administrators can create their own feed categories, so posts are grouped the way the community chooses. • Dark Mode: The navigation bar follows your dark mode setting.
