Great app but needs improvement

I would give this a higher review as I’ve been using this for years and I feel that it has helped.
However, I just now wrote a long post on the app only to accidentally slide down the check-in window panel and completely lose everything that I wrote. That is why I decided to give this app two stars. It should never be that easy to accidentally lose a bunch of progress in any software. now I have to go back and remember everything I wrote and write it all again and this is not the first time it has happened

Also many times it fails to post and sometimes the news feed stays blank, or the check button doesn’t load the check-in panel.

To the developers, please consider changing this, and I will consider increasing my rating.

Very frustrating to get started

I downloaded the app, signed up, and now and stuck in an endless loop of signing in and being taken back to the sign in page after signing in. I tried creating an account in case there was something I missed but then I get a message saying I already have account. Not a good start.

Customer service not a priority

I’ve been on this app for years, and I’ve formed some great relationships. But the tech support is terrible. The app is constantly glitching out, it currently asked if I’m a veteran every time I open it, and the notifications don’t work. I email and email and email and rarely get anything other than an auto response. The last time I was basically told deal with it…we don’t care. They were slightly more professional than that, but the message was clear, we’ll get to it when we get to it, but its not a priority.
On an app who’s purpose is to connect people in recovery with people who know what you’re going through so they can help…knowing when people need help, or knowing you can reach out and get help when you need it should be an obvious priority.

Helpful app but too many bugs

Great app for checking in with accountability partners. But I've experienced some frustrating bugs for months and they haven't fixed them. I've sent feedback emails before and gotten replies, but it seems they haven't taken my suggestions seriously. Let's see if they fix it this time.

Need help with some videos

Hi Rtribe,

I like the way your layout is so far.

I am having some technical difficulties getting to be able to watch some of the free ones that are provided.

I have the first set of a 9 part series but still cannot access the free videos that are used in the program as introductory to give a member a chance to see if they’d like to take on the entire program.

Can you please assist?

Awesome resource!

While the app can be a bit buggy from time to time, I can easily overlook that for the wealth of information and the abundance of support I can find in this one app. Absolutely love it. 10/10 would recommend.

Great App but the performance in questi.......

This app is a great app for constant and variable accountability for a variety of addictions and mental health conditions. Alcohol, Drugs, Sex, Depression, Anxiety and others. I am very disappointed to learn that, after re-downloading the app, I am unable to login or sign up. Instead an error message pops up that reads “ AN ERROR OCCURRED, we are doing all we can to fix the problem, please try again later”. I rate it 1 star as it has not gotten resolved after multiple days of trying to login/sign up. I hope to be in contact with the developers to fix this issue. Will continue to update this review.

UPDATE***
App is fixed and functioning well. 5 stars.

It sorta works

It’s nice to connect with other people and know you’re not fighting alone. So the app is great for that, but if you care about keeping track of your progress or need a quick way to vent and check in, forget it. App crashes for days, randomly doesn’t save a check in and destroys the history and I have to start over. On a plus side I learned that I will use the app crashing as an excuse to act out, and that I need to mentally prepare and understand that it is just a extra tool to help and nothing more. I have to hold myself accountable. So I guess, thanks rtribe.

They WONT communicate with me

Ever since i’ve had a problem playing the video section of the app, the communication from RTribe is non existent. The one time I had a quick Responce was when they said we received your feedback and we will circle back around and reconnect with you. We’re working on it. That was many months ago at this point and I’ve made many more attempts to ask why my videos(which I had to pay for), won’t play. When I try to play them, the RTribe app crashes. Shuts down. I would be disappointed if they were free and Rtribes communication with me was this bad, but I actually paid multiples time the fee of $9.99 and so there are many reasons why this is inexcusable. Again, many months have gone by and there has been no Responce from RTribe, and the app has not improved.

Terrible Support

I needed to change my password, but when I tried I was told my username was taken. I can’t change my email so I emailed support for help which replied, “rTribe will be back in 1 hour.” OVER 6 WEEKS later I get a response, “Hi there, thanks for reaching out and apologies for the delay and trouble you’re experiencing. Have you been able to reset your password since writing in?”

If you are offering a service to help with addiction you need to do better. rTribe should have replied when they said so and had a solution ready. Why would I respond when I cannot trust I’ll get a timely response?

Can y’all fix the problem?

Error, can’t not log in.

A needed app, less than ideal performance

A valiant effort to address a great need but it’s time to step up and offer reliability. This app is very useful but there are times Rtribe is a dumpster fire. Often it is not possible to check in and all my history has vanished. Support and FAQ links go to missing pages. Knowledge base is behind an impenetrable login that is not the same login as the app.

Connection and journaling

This app helps establish these 2 very important parts of My Christian walk on a regular basis, connecting with others and journaling. KirkI also find myself remembering and utilizing the quotes presented on a regular basis.

Great app

I’ve been using this app and referring both personal as well as professional connections to use this in order to stay motivated and hopeful about recovery! I enjoy being able to connect with people worldwide and sharpen each other (Prov. 27:17). Thanks for developing and making this free!

Great with a small group

Use app with a small group of friends. Outstanding help.

Very helpful tool

This is a great tool to help guys stay connected within their groups, track their progress which is motivating, lead other guys, stay accountable, stay situationally aware, journal, and more. I strongly encourage the men I lead to use this App as a part of their recovery. It isn’t perfect but worth every penny.

I love RTRIBE

RTRIBE has helped me kick my porn addiction. I am a better husband, father & man bc of it! The daily checkins are huge.

The only recommendation I have to lower the pricing for the one on one counseling. Or offer a lite tier with less communication for $10-$30 a month. Maybe to touch base once a month or every two weeks with the counselor?

Good but could be better

I mostly enjoy this app. It’s helped me find connections with people who struggle with the same things I do. It’s been beneficial in that aspect as well as keeping myself accountable and tracking my sobriety. However, the app itself could use a lot of work. It’s pretty glitchy in that sometimes it won’t let me click on something. It doesn’t seem to work very well with newer iPhones (no Face ID option), and I can’t update my information so my age is outdated. I also wish when I want to comment on someone’s check in that comments would show up for everyone to see rather than send a direct message to the person. I feel like that would give more of a sense of community to the Tribe. I can always message people directly when I want to but just commenting to give encouragement could easily be shown as just a comment. There are some badly needed updates to this app, but the idea behind it is good. They could maybe take some ideas from the way Brain Buddy is set up. That’s another app I’ve used before that had a much better layout.

Strongly recommended

I have suffered from addiction for 25 plus years. I’ve been in counseling and 12 step programs for this. This app has helped me with accountability and keeping track of my days of sobriety. It allows me to reach out and seek help when I’m needing to talk with somebody or when I feel like I’m going to act out. It is an excellent app and I highly recommend it.

First impression is disappointing

I tried it out, app matched me with a counsellor, that counseller told me to find someone else. All other suggested counsellors did not appear suitable and there were only 3 options to choose from!? So I guess no cousellors from this app will do. So I continue my search
