The Fox 12 Oregon app continues to show news that is 3-5 days old. NO CURRENT NEWS for readers, especially on the weekends! This has been occurring for over 3 months! FIX YOUR APP and hire employees who work to report CURRENT DAILY NEWS!! I’m tired of opening and closing immediately due to old news! WOW!

Used to be a good app
This used to be a good app to where I could start the day getting the latest national and local news. But for me this app over the past couple of years has gone to good to not so good to worse. I don’t like ads autoplaying with audio as it disturbs those sleeping nearby. I don’t appreciate having to watch the same long Trimet ad with every video that is opened. That is disrespectful of my time. In fact, I don’t use this app to watch videos, I just want to read the news stories. Just recently, many news stories are now video only, preceded by a long ad. It’s got to the point to where I’m searching for a different news source. Please bring back the format from a year ago.

They keep changing the app and making it worse! Less options and more adds. Time to find a new news source!
Unwanted Notification
I’ve turned sports notifications off, yet this app continues sending alerts about the Portland Thorns and Fire teams anyway. Notification settings should actually respect user preferences. It’s frustrating to keep getting unwanted sports updates after explicitly disabling them. Please fix the notification filtering system so users only receive the alerts they choose.

Poorly written
Whoever programs this app is intrusive. They put stupid ads in the middle of things that you’re trying to read and interrupt the entire flow of what you’re trying to do. It is poorly constructed, particularly poorly initiated.
Took a wrong turn…
The app has regressed. Ads within articles auto play with sound that you cannot stop. Cannot increase text size for those with vision issues. You’re my fave local news channel but this app change is a downgrade.
Too many pop-ups
I’ve used this app for years. The latest latest update makes the app almost unusable. I’m considering switching to another local news app.
Still sucks
You would think after all these 1 star reviews, you would fix the issues that people are complaining about! Having auto play ads is the first problem. Downloading of the stories and pics are comically slow for this day in age.
Terrible after update
You should be able to read a story without news video automatically starting. Very infuriating when in a public space.

Ever since you changed your app, we cannot stream it from our phone to our television, which is sad because your the only news channel I like to watch, and have been watching for a very long time. Andy and Kim were just babies when I started watching. My question is; are you going to make it to where we can stream it to the television again, or do I have to keep watching it from my iPad?

Frustratingly amount of adds and pop-ups in this app.

Can’t find it
I have the dreaded “1” on the app, meaning there is something you want me to see. But I have searched every inch of the site and I can’t find it. So I can’t extinguish the “1” which is haunting me.

Sound
I also don’t want automatic sound when I open a news story. Most of time I will want to read a new story on Fox 12 Oregon iPhone App. I’ll end up removing the App over this auto sound issue.
Awful update
I deleted the app. No way to opt out of tracking and privacy. Nope.
New Update is horrible
The new update is just awful. So many ads to navigate through. When you back out of a story it takes you back to the top. Autoplay video happens even though the setting is turned off it still plays. So disappointed!!!
More annoying ads
Auto play ads with volume that you cannot mute or close. All I want to do is read the news, not watch ads.
