Free? Not even close

With a name like Free Text it was a bit of a shock that that they wanted $15/month to send the first message. I could add another line to my phone plan for less than that and without the deception. Since even the name of the app is a lie, it’s a huge red flag regarding other other ethical concerns with this app. Don’t waste your time.

Nothing is free only free is to download the app that’s it. Everything else is overpriced. They want you to pay for a free number 14 $15 a week. Are you freaking crazy?

Misleading

The app itself is a scam honestly. Don’t download or spend your money. Normally with text free apps they only charge for no ads & to keep your number. This one tried to get me. It allowed me to send about 3-4 messages then made me do a 3 day free trail. After that I sent a text & a photo then tried to send another message it said I pretty much used all my free trial benefits & would have to pay $13.99 for a few extra days. The days really don’t mean anything because it limits how much you text anyway so it’s definitely a scam !

I just signed up and the only way I was able to choose a phone number would be to do a free trial then 14.99 per week. Nope nope nothing in this app is free

Misleading false app name and information on app

App name “Free Text” implies it’s a free texting service. Then on app shows “get your free number” which then charges $15 regardless of any number you select. So there is no free number - and right off the bat reflects unlrealiable and deceitful business practices to attract costumers. Additionally $15 is not worth thsi VoIP service. You can get unlimited talk text and upto 30GB high speed data from many carriers.

Deceptive name - not free.

It is NOT free. Plain and simple. I understand apps need to make money so its ok if they add a paid tier. But if you wanna call yourself “Free Text” you have to have at least a free tier. This app has no free tier. Useless.
