I miss Frndly!
I subscribed to Frndly TV a year or more ago but stopped recently. The stream would cut off near the end of a show or movie and that became so disappointing and frustrating. This happened several times a week. My devices showed strong WiFi signals so I'm perplexed about it all but hope to rejoin again sometime down the road, if it gets better. I love the channel lineup.

Glitches??
Frndly had been a great app but lately one of my stations I watch frequently will just start spinning and I have to go out of the app and back in. This happens several times during a one hour show.
The other thing recently that has started happening is I have to sign in to the app at least once a week. Not sure if this is a glitch or if something has changed. It is frustrating.

Update Frustration
Going through the process of restarting the modem, restarting the Apple TV and uninstalling the app and reinstalling the app just for the sake of ad tracking was enough to justify canceling the subscription. You were saved by my love of Svengoolie.
Recording a movie
If you are watching the Hallmark channel and you see a movie that is going to debut in two or three weeks you can’t go to the search bar, find the movie and record it once because it will record it five or six times. You have to record it from the guide, which is impossible for a movie that’s going to be so far in the future. customer service was no help.

I’ve been using frndly TV since it came out
Friendly TV has gotten better and better. With more and more stations. When I first got it, I think it had about 10 or 12 stations. I love the shows. It’s very inexpensive and I’ve never ever had a problem with it.
DVR leaves something to be desired
I mostly use this for the kids because of MeTV toons. The problem is that metadata for shows are sent to the dvr sometimes as full blocks or sometimes as individual shorts. The auto play is not configurable so it just throws up the next item on the list. I put it on Woody Woodpecker, it plays one short, and then autoplays Moonfall. Over and over. Like I’ve been transported to a 1940s cinema. Even when I deleted Moonfall, it would still queue it up and play it. This went on for months.
There is no rhyme or reason for why some cartoon blocks are treated as one block but then the same block is treated as shorts. Bugs Bunny also does it depending on if it’s MeTv toons(daily block) or MeTv weekend (all shorts). So I have like 300 episodes of this cartoon block.
Then there are repeats. If it’s a repeat it shows multiple airings but then you play an episode and it plays the last one you watched.
Hopefully this is fixed.

Frustrated
I’ve loved this app for several years but something has changed with the recent updates.
In the past, if I recorded a show I thought I might like, but didn’t, I could cancel future recordings by clicking on the show, saved in ‘My Stuff’, select ‘delete’ and then ‘delete current and future recordings’ or something like that.
That is no longer an option. Now I keep getting recordings of the shows that I ended up not liking and deleting… they show up again in ‘my stuff’. Apparently I have to delete them from the guide now… but if they are movies that aren’t broadcasted on a regular basis, that is about impossible!!! Ugh!!!
Please make it user ‘frndly’ again!!!

Buffering
App sucks always buffering, at first I thought it was my wifi but after using multiple wifi and data it sucks every 5 minutes it stops
Works great on iPhone
This app has never let me down. It operates quickly without any glitches. ( I can’t say the same for other platforms that I use. )
Great Channels but have to Sign In EVERY time you Launch app
You get like 46 channels in Blu-Ray quality 1080p for $10 with DVR you can set the previous day or a week ahead. If you hate current network TV like we do, but love 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's Classic TV . . this is your channel.
We watch Friendly more than any other app mainly because the shows made during this era were so much better! The actors were actually talented with a storyline that didn't go into politics, gender, race . . you just enjoy the program. It brings a smile

Not Very Good

I have been using Frndly TV for a little over six months now. Overall it’s a semi usable service. Things kind of work but not reliably. Sometimes shows show up as expected other times they disappear. This includes recordings. At this point I would say stay away from this service. Even though it’s cheaper it hasn’t improved at all in the past six plus months. I am going to switch to something more reliable like Philo even though I’m going to be paying more.

Picture quality is horrible.
I have the premium subscription and yet I can’t get any channel to stream high definition. This in and out is annoying. Thus making this service and quality 2/5.
I don’t know what’s going on
I don’t know what is going on but it took the money out my account and when I went to log in it said email or password doesn’t match . I want my money back or the subscription so I can watch the programs on it !!!!😡😡
So many programming issues
The tracking memory of where you leave off on a show is terrible, and you can’t fast forward, only rewind, to get back to where you were. It’ll even start your episode completely over when you’ve already seen more than half. Lots of buffering issues regardless of your WiFi or data connection. I paid extra to skip all of the cancer commercials, and it still shows commercials. Awful.

Won’t work
I have not been able to watch Frndly TV on my television for several days now. It tells me to update and when I push the update button it takes me to another screen and ask me to update again and then it tells me I need to update my payment method. I am paid up till 02/2027. I cannot find out anywhere to reach out for help.

Channel confusion
I had Frndly in the past but couldn’t remember why we cancelled. When doing research it states all these channel are available but when I try to access the hallmark channels it requires another subscription. The reason I chose this one is for Up Family & hallmark. I will try to go through some more channels & see what I have to work with.

One Issue
I enjoy this app very much but why is it so difficult to remove a recording? There should be a simple left swipe to delete option for phones and a simple delete button for tv.
Why lie?
There really aren’t as many episodes as it claims. For instance, today is April 11, 2026. For the Jeffersons it says there are 259 episodes but only about 40 are available. I’ve seen this with several shows on Frndly. All these bloated numbers aren’t real. And I almost jumped the gun and paid before my trial is over but I’ll have to see more to make my decision. I love that these are the shows I enjoy, all the cozy classics. But I just don’t know where they’re getting their numbers from and that makes me feel a distrust.

Love Friendly app
Love all channels we get to watch and the capability of recording shows…. Also really like the capability to START OVER a show!!!!! That is the best because sometimes I miss out right on the front end…
One thing… used to show the people acting in the movie and now it just tells what it is about. Could you please put that feature back on the descriptions
