Poor design, useless information, annoying notifications

Click on a specific fire notification, it opens to a page with generic preparation subjects. To see the latest fire information you have to open a map, and find the fire yourself. Turning off notifications for a particular fire has no effect. It just carries on popping up unwanted alerts. Watch Duty is much more useful and useable.

Not reliable

I’ve been using this app for about a week and it’s so unreliable. I’m in Washington state and half the state is on fire. 3 hrs ago there was an announcement to evacuate a small down south of Spokane and this stupid app doesn’t even show the fire. When I initially login it will show a lot of different fires throughout the state but if I click on just one to get details, the other fire icons vanish and don’t reappear so I deleted it. It’s not helpful at all.

Trash

Doesn’t update in real time sends you “critical” updates but then when you check on them there’s literally no info oh and the fire map thing is laggy as all hell and doesn’t show the active fire you want to see even when it’s a fire less then 7 miles away from your house and it’s telling you you have critical alerts for the area but the map looks like it’s just fine? Trash don’t waste your time or space on your phone for this app

Not worth the time

Initially, we were notified of wildfires in and out of our radius but noticed the updates were completely inaccurate. We had a fire on our property a month ago, yet this app still shows it’s active. That’s the case for most fires reported on this app. You cannot depend on it. It’s free but not well maintained and send notifications that are old and a nuisance. We’ll delete it.

Now “Predicting” Fires?!

I’ve been using Frontline Wildfire Tracker for about 3 years and I’ve noticed the poor updates, time not appearing accurate, and other issues, but today was the final straw!
There is an active fire with smoke floating over my house and some ash falling, from a fire 10 miles away. But Frontline says the fire was discovered at 9:00 PM tonight, 5 hours from now, and the latest update was 9:30 PM, 5.5 hours from now. It also says the amount of area burned is 0.10 Acres, but the about 20 square miles of area covered by smoke says a different story.
I downloaded a new app and immediately found out the fire is over 150 acres and growing.
I just deleted Frontline Wildfire Tracker, total junk.

Unusable

The tab that says Get Started is not visible on the screen and when I try to pull it up, I still can’t click on it.

App sucks

Can’t open it!

Thanks for the great info

We use this to track fires in CA.

Great app for CA fires

My whole family uses it. Thank you.

Doesn’t track anything.

This app does not track any fires. There is no boundary or live updates as they promise. They don’t tell you how much is contained. They don’t remove fires that have been put out. They can’t even keep track of one single fire, and the app is very glitchy and buggy with words being stuck on my screen in multiple places.

Happy with it

Happy with the recent updates, haven’t had any issues for a while now, more reliable

Straight up bad considering how important it is

Nope nope nope. Horrible. Stupid. Poor execution. Can’t trust it, other than that….no, it sucks.

Love it

Very easy to use and set location radius so you can get alerts in your area

Junk!!

Latest review: I finally got the app to install, but it’s awful. It reports a fire as active that was put out the same day over a week ago. Today it reports a fire that doesn’t exist anywhere within my area, but says it’s 58 miles from me. We don’t have any active wildfires today.
This app must be just something they threw together along with the services they sell. I use PulsePoint and Google Maps to get up to date fire info. I deleted the app.

First review: I downloaded the app to look at Colorado fires. I can’t get registered because the app doesn’t fill in the field when I type. I attempted to contact support and ended up leaving my contact info with sales. There is no Contact Us on their website.
When companies do this kind of stuff, I have no need to use them for anything!!

Can’t register

So many steps to just look at a map? Why do you need all that info. Can’t even register because last name field won’t accept any input and it’s required

Don’t bother

Requires you to create an account but won’t let you fill in required fields in order to do so. No way to view data as a guest. You’re required to enter email address, name, home address etc in order to get any info at all. Deleted app 60 seconds after installing. Don’t waste your time.

Loses passwords on updates

After updates requires sign in. Forgets passwords and will not send reset until 2 days later.

Really good info

This app is great! I think the older reviews were from when the LA fires were going and there were server issues. Seems really stable and has great info and even wildfire camera feeds.

Map on website is better
