Extremely Disappointing Experience With G2A !
I purchased what was advertised as a 12-month Spotify Premium subscription key from G2A. When I attempted to redeem my purchase, I was not provided with a normal activation code. Instead I received a message telling me to contact the seller through the G2A Support Hub.
The seller then asked me to provide my Spotify login details so that they could supposedly redeem the subscription on my behalf. I refused, quite reasonably, as I am absolutely not comfortable handing my personal account credentials to an unknown third-party seller. I requested a refund instead.
Rather than simply processing the refund, the seller repeatedly insisted that I give them my login details and assured me that “everything would be alright”. After I continued to refuse and requested my money back, I opened a complaint through G2A and also raised a dispute with Revolut, which I used to make the payment. I also left a negative review for the seller.
Things became even more concerning when I was told by the seller that I would only receive my money back if I removed the negative rating I had left. I took screenshots of the entire conversation because, at that point, I was seriously concerned about the legitimacy of the transaction and the seller’s behaviour.
And then today, I attempted to access my G2A account and discovered that my account had been permanently suspended.
I would absolutely NOT recommend G2A to anyone. I am incredibly disappointed and agitated that despite providing sufficient evidence of the transaction, the extortion messages on behalf of the seller etc. they still decided to side with scammers and suspend my account for rightfully demanding my money back due to a shady and downright suspicious seller and product !
