Awesome! Totally worth it!

Great app! Need a tone of polish though. (I’d love to help ) but it has practically everything that you need to manage your campaign!

Although, I wish when making encounters, you weren’t forced to add a player. I’d rather have the players handle that portion. Instead, id like to respond in kind from their actions.

Overall, it takes some getting use to but I’m confident I will be using this for a long, long time.

Recommended for DM of all types!

I use this app every time I run a game or campaign. It has been the most helpful app I've seen on the app store, and I'd personally say it's not even close. There is a paid version, which I'd recommend as well. For only 4$, you are granted access to so much freedom, as shown with these comparisons:

The free version limits you to being able to create 1 campaign, 1 adventure, and 3 encounters. While this was nice for a little bit, I found myself wanting more creation, more encounters, more adventures. So, I paid the 4$, and haven't put the app down since. Paying allows you to create unlimited things, including campaigns, adventures, and encounters for your games. Each section gives you a variety of customization:

CAMPAIGNS
• allows to view three tabs: Adventures, Notes, and Characters.
•Able to put an image for the cover of your campaign, and give it a custom title.
• Characters that are created with the Campaign tab are Adventure wide, being able to have your PC's and important NPC's here allows for them to be put automatically into an adventure.

ADVENTURES
• Able to create NPC's specific to that adventure.
• Able to create notes and encounters specific to that adventure
• Able to put a custom image and title as the cover

NOTES
• Putting campaign wide notes, such as the world setting, homebrew rules, and other need-to-knows here is very valuable.

ENCOUNTERS
• Allows toggling for if a NPC/creature is hostile or not
• Able to auto roll Initiative for enemies/allies/PC's if needed
• Tracks and shows Initiative for you, and shows current HP and AC for each creature
• Has a toggle for if a creature is dead, or if it is just unconscious when dropped to 0 HP. Skips over dead creatures turns for you
• Shows the amount of EXP the party will receive from this encounter

The only real problem I see with this app is the amount of typing you have to do. A lot of the rules it has in the app are 2014 Basic Rules, so it doesn't have the full Players Handbook spell list, the full monster list from the 2014 M.M either, nor any of the expansions for 5e. However, it allows you to create all of these with the Compendium. This is where you can import Monsters, Spells, and Items into the app, or create homebrew ones from scratch. It also allows you to give each monster and item a picture, allowing for a little more personality to your custom things.

So, if you are able to handle typing a lot to keep track of everything, or import some 2014 PhB spells, this app is a MUST HAVE :}

Amazing App

I love all of the fight club apps as both a dungeon master and a player. I strongly encourage everyone who plays to use this platform at my table to make sharing custom items more streamlined. I just desperately wish they would roll out markdown support for formatting!

Good but has its issues

I made some monsters and put them under a specific encounter and they’re missing all of a sudden.

Too useful to ignore, too cumbersome to enjoy

At first, this app seems perfect for what it’s doing. Information at your fingertips, quick to use mid-session.

Then you start trying to prep things with it and you realize how many tricks you need to actually use it. How you have to bookmark spells when you’re creating an NPC because you can only search by name from the main menu. How you can’t look things up by text, so you better memorize every stat block.

Eventually you realize you’re putting the same amount of work in that you would without the app.

The tools to make this a useful… tool… are there. They’re just buried under a lot of UI decisions that doubtlessly made sense at the time but utterly cripple the app’s functionality.
