Awesome! Totally worth it!

Great app! Need a tone of polish though. (I’d love to help ) but it has practically everything that you need to manage your campaign!

Although, I wish when making encounters, you weren’t forced to add a player. I’d rather have the players handle that portion. Instead, id like to respond in kind from their actions.

Overall, it takes some getting use to but I’m confident I will be using this for a long, long time.

Recommended for DM of all types!

I use this app every time I run a game or campaign. It has been the most helpful app I've seen on the app store, and I'd personally say it's not even close. There is a paid version, which I'd recommend as well. For only 4$, you are granted access to so much freedom, as shown with these comparisons:

The free version limits you to being able to create 1 campaign, 1 adventure, and 3 encounters. While this was nice for a little bit, I found myself wanting more creation, more encounters, more adventures. So, I paid the 4$, and haven't put the app down since. Paying allows you to create unlimited things, including campaigns, adventures, and encounters for your games. Each section gives you a variety of customization:

CAMPAIGNS
• allows to view three tabs: Adventures, Notes, and Characters.
•Able to put an image for the cover of your campaign, and give it a custom title.
• Characters that are created with the Campaign tab are Adventure wide, being able to have your PC's and important NPC's here allows for them to be put automatically into an adventure.

ADVENTURES
• Able to create NPC's specific to that adventure.
• Able to create notes and encounters specific to that adventure
• Able to put a custom image and title as the cover

NOTES
• Putting campaign wide notes, such as the world setting, homebrew rules, and other need-to-knows here is very valuable.

ENCOUNTERS
• Allows toggling for if a NPC/creature is hostile or not
• Able to auto roll Initiative for enemies/allies/PC's if needed
• Tracks and shows Initiative for you, and shows current HP and AC for each creature
• Has a toggle for if a creature is dead, or if it is just unconscious when dropped to 0 HP. Skips over dead creatures turns for you
• Shows the amount of EXP the party will receive from this encounter

The only real problem I see with this app is the amount of typing you have to do. A lot of the rules it has in the app are 2014 Basic Rules, so it doesn't have the full Players Handbook spell list, the full monster list from the 2014 M.M either, nor any of the expansions for 5e. However, it allows you to create all of these with the Compendium. This is where you can import Monsters, Spells, and Items into the app, or create homebrew ones from scratch. It also allows you to give each monster and item a picture, allowing for a little more personality to your custom things.

So, if you are able to handle typing a lot to keep track of everything, or import some 2014 PhB spells, this app is a MUST HAVE :}

Amazing App

I love all of the fight club apps as both a dungeon master and a player. I strongly encourage everyone who plays to use this platform at my table to make sharing custom items more streamlined. I just desperately wish they would roll out markdown support for formatting!

Good but has its issues

I made some monsters and put them under a specific encounter and they’re missing all of a sudden.

Too useful to ignore, too cumbersome to enjoy

At first, this app seems perfect for what it’s doing. Information at your fingertips, quick to use mid-session.

Then you start trying to prep things with it and you realize how many tricks you need to actually use it. How you have to bookmark spells when you’re creating an NPC because you can only search by name from the main menu. How you can’t look things up by text, so you better memorize every stat block.

Eventually you realize you’re putting the same amount of work in that you would without the app.

The tools to make this a useful… tool… are there. They’re just buried under a lot of UI decisions that doubtlessly made sense at the time but utterly cripple the app’s functionality.

Je cherche la version en FR annoncée sur l’app store

Aucune possibilité de passer l’application en Francais alors que sur l’app store il est bien indiqué qu’il est en 27 langues dont le Francais.

Better than character sheet

I use this app to track only my player characters at the table since I’m not the DM. It’s great for that. No more silly pencil erasing, dice rolling, or math. It’s the best way to manage your character as a player.

I’m poor

I’m too poor to pay and I did not know you had to pay, (I probably should’ve assumed but) anyways, if you can pay it’d probably be good character creation is easy.

Satisfied Customer

This is a really great app, very easy to use and accessible. I’ve recommended it to friends and they all loved it!
However, now in 2020 my DM who’s ogling over Pathfinder 2e is trying to reboot our campaign of 2 years into 2e which I can’t find a great character app for. As happy as I am with this app and will forever use it whenever I play other sessions this is more of a plea for help and ask the developer’s of this app if you guys could please make one like this for Pathfinder 2e? I’d really appreciate it and so would my table! Please and thank you

Incredible stuff! Unfortunately has some huge holes

I love this app, I love the ability to import/export resources. This is definitely the best way I’ve found to be able to run my encounters and keep track of all my monsters and player characters in my campaign. But the stat blocks could use some small changes that would translate to enormous convenience for DMs. Monsters should absolutely have a “bonus action” section available, as well as a better way to track non-spell slot spellcasting usage without having to make an additional entry for every individual spell. I’ve had to really struggle through this before the 2024/25 core rulebooks were released, but now that there are no spell slots for monsters, and more bonus actions, this has become an even bigger hassle to try and use stat blocks that I think are miles ahead of their older counterparts. I know this app hasn’t seen much if any update in quite a while, but seeing as it still reigns supreme when it comes to running encounters, it would mean a lot to see these vital changes be incorporated. Thank you guys for your wonderful work!

Game mastering made easy

Great app that makes managing so much easier for me. You can really tell that someone has put a lot of thought into creating a sensible structure and simple handling. I just wish the app was available on MacOS. Writing texts is always a bit more tedious on iPads/tablets.

Brilliant

This app is indispensable. I don’t know how anybody DMs without it. It’s brilliant.

Few Minor Changes

This is still a great app, I have been using it for years. I have a few minor issues though.

• In stat blocks, a separate section for bonus actions would be nice.
• We use some custom sizes (colossal and mega) and a fillable field would be nicer than a drop down.
• Adding the option for customized skills
• Being able to use other passive skills besides perception.
• The ability to create other environments (coastal and planar come to mind).

These are minor issues and I have work around, but they would make my life so much easier.

Cannot add custom NPCs

As the title says, i have no access to compendium before choosing a campaign, and as such cant add custom mobs to my compendium

Can't sycnc bacups.

I bought the OSX and iOS versions, cannot load backups between Mac and iPhone. Kinda useless.

Just what I was looking for!

Prepping encounters has always been the most time consuming part of DMing for me, and this makes it SO much easier.

One suggestion

I absolutely love this app, I use I’ve used it for the past 2 years to keep my game organized and its so simple and streamlined
The only suggestion I would give would be to add a separate category for adding bonus actions

There’s an area for actions, reactions and legendary actions, but no bonus actions
It’s a very minor fix, but would honestly make the app perfect in my opinion

Nice

Good tool to keep DM notes together, but not sure if there are still updates. I would love some more freedom in the notes, like bullet points or bold or colored text. For now, this is fine, but I think there is room for improvement.

Good for organizing but a little hard to understand

I like this app, it is very useful for combat and remembering spell rolls and stuff without having to look it up every time. One thing I would recommend is maybe make a tutorial, or some way to figure out how to make everything. Another suggestion is maybe add a weapon (for example, dagger) that is not assigned to a creature already. Like, I was putting the dagger action into a character of mine and there was a kobold dagger and a bunch of other stuff, but not a normal dagger with no proficiencies added. Also, I did not see thorn whip in the compendium. (Specific, I know) Another question, I am currently confused about characters. When I make encounters I can make characters but they do not show up in the characters section of the compendium . Wondering if I did something wrong or if it’s just a glitch or something. Sorry for the ramble but one last thing, the app does not appear as it does in the preview. Is that just outdated or what… Anyway, I love this app, it’s very helpful, and with a few modifications this could be perfect!
