What does this do?

I put in some terms and directions as to what to do with messages containing those terms… and then what? I get no notifications or counts or anything to let me know what is going on. Recommended by a Firewall builder, but why..?

Hello, you can find all information about how SMS filtering works on this page: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/iphone/iph203ab0be4/ios

Didn’t work at all

I put in the names of exact contacts to filter and it did nothing. Tried a few different times and ways and did nothing. On IOS 18
