Needs timer.
A timer would be more efficient so you don’t have to keep watching the time and to stop it on 120 seconds is quite difficult as well as getting the readings correct, overall a good app but without the timer I think there’s better gas rate apps on the market for a lot cheaper
None adaptive
The app lacks the ability to modify values. Cannot change value of gas for local area. Ours is about 1.2 not 1.4 and that makes a difference
Also limited meter dial choices mean less accurate calculation.
I should be able to count revolutions and enter those to get better data values. Not worth paying for this app.

Gas Rate App
As good as all the other apps from this supplier. Easy to use and reliable. Steve is so hard working to create fantastic software for this industry and has a wealth of knowledge and experience! Thanks again Steve!!!!
Does not work
Calorific value is the same for propane, natural gas and butane in metric mode no use at all
Fault with start and end meter readings
Since the last update I get the message that the initial meter reading is larger than the final reading even though they definitely are not. Initial reading 5,67 and final 5,77 and the message appears.

This app is great. I use it every time I install a new boiler. It's give the gas reading in meter per hour and feet. Which is makes filling out the benchmark much quicker and easier

Thank you for the update I use this app a lot and it's now a lot better but please make it fit nicely for iPhone 6plus screen size and allow detailed results to all fit on the screen.

Brilliant app with basic functionality.
Nice to see an email option, I would like an "open-in" option to directly transfer readings to other apps I use.
Also I would like to have an audio/alarm indicator for the last 10 seconds of a test on a metric meter.

What's gone wrong, rubbish
Been using this app on iPhone for last 2years and was brilliant. After recent update it won't even open, I have now deleted it and use another one that WORKS!
iOS 8 IMPORTANT - DO THESE STEPS!
When installing on iOS8 you must agree to ALLOW camera access on first install. If you haven't do this to make it work!! Go to the settings app, find has rate calc and tap it then tap privacy. Finally turn on allow camera a which makes the torch on the app work.

Just bought the new I phone 6 n thought use get a new gas app. Doesn't load at all. I've downloaded a free one now and that works fine but the paid one doesn't even open. £3 down the drain.

Great app ( works 100%) sometimes I check it the old fashioned way to catch it out ! Take a photo of your results and stick it on your invoice ! Don't let your inspector see you do it as they'll say your not aloud your phone near the metre or done bull

This was a great purchase. However, I dont know whether it is related to the recent upgrade in my ipad software but I have started to see rogue calculations being shown. One boiler I rated showed a gas rate of around 30m/3! Very frustrating!
