Replacing a working system (key fob) with a janky app
Property management forced everyone to switch to this app and removed the key fobs we use for access. It’s been about 6 weeks and there’s already system wide failures where no person can open any gate.

Great App — CarPlay Integration Would Make It Even Better
GateWise is a very useful and convenient app for managing gate access. The overall experience is smooth and reliable, and it has made entering my community much easier.
One feature that would significantly improve the user experience is support for Apple CarPlay. Currently, when approaching the gate, I need to take my phone out of my pocket, open the app, and tap the gate button. This can be inconvenient while driving.
It would be extremely helpful if GateWise could integrate with CarPlay and provide an option to open the gate directly from the vehicle's screen. This would make gate access faster, safer, and much more convenient for users. I believe CarPlay support would be a valuable enhancement and greatly improve the overall experience.

Terrible app with tons of bugs
The app is filled with bugs. I was stuck outside the building because the app decided not to work. Highly unpredictable on android devices.
Unreliable and unsafe
My apartments decided to take away our key fobs and implement this app for god knows what reason. Since the beginning the app has given me nothing but headaches. If your phone dies your locked out, if power goes out your locked out., if the apps can’t load (which has happened more than once) your locked out. The icing on the cake is the app will suddenly decide after 6/7months that it doesn’t “know” your phone number and completely block you from accessing the app. Now I’m here writing this review on Memorial Day weekend and have to wait until Tuesday when the leasing office is open to get this resolved. There is no reason why any apartment should be able to completely rely on a damn app for entering the premises. This should be used as an alternative not the sole option.

Not Carplay Compatible
How is it possible that this app doesn't work on Carplay to open the gate? I have to pick up my phone every time, that should've been the first thing.

Stupid idea executed poorly
App works most of the time, not always, and when it doesn’t there’s no backup system to get into the parking garage
Only works 50% of the time…at best
It’s always hit or miss whether it will work. I’m currently going on 6 days straight of it not working. Gatewise Customer service will only say that they are reaching out to the leasing office. Leasing office says that Gatewise has looked at the system and it’s working fine. But I still can’t get in my own apartment complex.

decides when it wants to work
it can work flawlessly but at random times the gate wont respond. unsure if its a gate problem or an app problem, regardless, it’s annoying.

App not available in Apple car play and widgets. Poor USER INTERFACE
Widget function would be nice
The app does everything it needs to. Something that would change my review to 5 stars is if you add a home screen widget with the specific gate to open. It’s a bit annoying having to unlock my phone , open the app, and select which of the 5 gates while driving
CarPlay
This app really needs a CarPlay app so I can open the gate from my car screen. No reason I should have to fidget with my phone while driving.

The CarPlay widget opens the app, which makes it useless. No power or WiFi… no getting in!
Nobody likes it
I don’t know why apartment complexes never ask residents or look at actual reviews of this stuff. Way less convenient than a fob. Carrying groceries became harder. Getting through a door takes longer. App is slow and laggy. Net negative for quality of life.
