About
GCC Workshop is the camera app for the workshop floor, built for garages that run on Garage Command Centre.
A technician picks the car they are stood next to from today's diary and adds what the office needs to price the job: the MOT certificate, photos of anything that failed or was advised, a short video of the knock or the rattle, the mileage off the dash, the pass or fail, and a note in their own words. Everything lands on that booking in the dashboard, where the office attaches it to the customer's quote.
WHY GARAGES USE IT
• Today's cars, on-site first — the diary the office already keeps. Nothing to set up on the phone.
• Photos one after another — the camera comes straight back until you are done. No picker per shot.
• Videos of the fault — the office hears what you heard.
• Mileage, MOT result and notes — read off the car and saved to the job with your name on it.
• Damage on arrival — a separate button for marks that were already there. A record that protects the garage.
• Built for the bay — dark screen, big buttons, one hand, oily gloves.
• Uploads two at a time and save as they go, so you can walk off part way through.
NOTHING WORTH STEALING
The phone only ever sees first names and registrations. No customer phone numbers, no addresses, no prices. A lost phone is a code change in the dashboard, not a data breach.
LINKING TO YOUR DASHBOARD
Type in your garage name, enter the workshop code once, and you are on today's cars. The app uses the same workshop service as the dashboard's own Workshop page, so photos arrive in the same tray and the office allocates them exactly as before.
GCC Workshop needs a Garage Command Centre account. Garage Command Centre is the garage management dashboard from MOTvault: diary, quotes with photo evidence, MOT reminders, messaging, card payments and an AI receptionist. Ask for a demo at joshua.law39@icloud.com.
