Used to be great as Raise, but GCX is a broken platform with zero support
I used to use this platform back when it was Raise, I was customer for what last 5 years, and it was fantastic. Back then, gift cards were free to buy, but after transitioning to GCX, they introduced a platform fee. Honestly, I wouldn't mind paying a fee if the service justified it, but it’s completely a waste of money because they can't even maintain a working platform.
When you run into an issue and try to reach customer care, you are trapped in an endless loop with a completely brainless AI chat. It has limited information, asks the exact same questions over and over, and can't even help with basic account issues or direct you to a human. Long story short: it has been two months, and I still haven't been able to get any help from actual customer service.
The platform fee is 100% not worth it, and support simply does not exist here. Save your money and your sanity—I’m done with GCX and actively looking for a better alternativ

I have purchased several cards from this company over the past year. Recently, I signed into purchase another card and found that my wallet was empty of the cards I’ve been purchasing.. The only thing that was there was cards that I purchased in 2017 and deleted them several years ago because they were empty.. I tried to contact support through their AI Genni and it sucks! The AI turned in a ticket for me on 17 August 2026 and stated that I would receive some kind of contact within 24 business hours. Today is 23 August 2026 and I’ve had no response. The AI keeps telling me to talk to chat and I’m chatting with AI in their chat box.. I believe this website is now a scam run stay away. I probably had about $200 worth of cards in my wallet..

Dishonest app - beware
They advertise one percent off, but when you go to pay the price increases and you’re not actually getting the price they showed originally. I’ve used it since it was raise and have saved over $1,200 through all my purchases. I’ll never spend another penny here. Nobody likes to be lied to. They could easily show the actual discount and people would be just as excited to save 17% vs 21% or whatever. I just made an account and switched to a competitor that allows people to sell a card for cash. They show the price you pay.

GCX Might be going Under
This app back in the raise days was ontop of their game. The deals were amazing, the app was truly flawless, the fees were not outrageous it was a perfect system. Somewhere in the past two years they started getting piggish with fees, usually a sign a company is starting to go under. The deals then stopped being as good, not from competition and more buys but more from lack of availability of cards a sign less people wanna sell through them. Now in the beginning part of this year their app has became buggy and borderline broken depending on phone an IOS, this NEVER was an issue before. When you go through support back in the day you’d get people actually responding now you get ai responses and no change another sign of cutting corners. It’s a shame to see a once great app go under now with the claims of gift cards not being useable and the confirming of others having issues getting in touch with support I believe we might see the end of an era raise/gcx. It’s a shame what new greedy owners can do to a once successful app. All it takes now is someone making a similar design an they might take off and grab a lot of the business GCX had

Something changed
I’m not sure what’s going on, but I’ve been using the app for a while and over the last month. Something has changed with the login to make it lose login every time I open the app. Now when I dread to login with my email address, it just immediately says session has ended so I have to login with the Apple ID and then everything just lags. Searching will lock up the app scrolling will lock up the app. This is all on an iPhone 16 Pro Max with the latest version of iOS.

Ginnie is useless. I’ve went and supposedly submitted several support tickets and haven’t received anything back from them. I ask for a human and nothing. Then it said something about contacting through raise.com and it was even more useless. I like the app but if you have a problem with a card not being useable I guess you are just screwed

App goes downhill
I've been a customer for this app since it was called Raise for more than ten years. Truly sad to see the quality has gone downhill over the last hill, some reviews have pointed it to the PE firm taking over, for what is worth I think they're losing customers quickly

Features gone and SLOW!
Extreme latency when typing in a store to add a gift card to my wallet and it still doesn’t work because there is no field to add the PIN so the ADD button remains greyed out. This has been an issue for several months now with no fix.

I used to use this app a lot. It's great for discounts on lots of useful goods and services, but lately it's been stuck on the loading screen. Restarting doesn't help. I'm about to give up using altogether.

I have so many problems purchasing gift cards. Constantly getting error messages. Not to mention how many cards I’ve purchased and found out those cards have a $0 balance. Let’s not talk about the outrageous platform fees for cards. It’ll say 24.1% off but after platform fees, half of that savings is taken away. Such a waste

They upped the Fees like crazy.
So Slow & Clunky
I loved Raise but ever since GCX took over the app became so painfully slow and clunky. I have to force close to get any change to populate and scrolling/buying feels like it’s running windows 98. Plus the new fee on top of existing fees just adds insult to injury.

Unfortunately the last version whenever you try to add more than one gift card it is very slow and buggy
Haven’t sent me money
Sold a GC three weeks ago and haven’t received my money. No way to speak to a human. Their phone has been disconnected. Chat it is worthless, nobody return the ‘escalation’

After they started charging the “platform fee”, I thought the app would get better. Somehow, it’s worse.
Purchased gift cards are slow to load.
I used to be able to buy a gift card, pull down on the home page to refresh, and my gift cards would be there. Now, I have to go to the orders page, log in, and only then will the new gift cards appear.
When shopping for a gift card, you have to scroll slowly. Otherwise, the app will start to lag. Say I’m looking for a $20 gift card. I filter for $25 or less, sort the gift cards by amount, and start scrolling. If there are a ton of $25 gift cards, I want to scroll fast until I get to the 20’s. But I’m not allowed to. I must scroll slowly, or the app will crash.

Stay Away!
I've been a member of this site since 2018 and up until today I haven't had any major issues. Now today I purchased a gift card and when I went to use it, was told the card had already been redeemed. I immediately contacted their support, as it had been minutes since I purchased the card and their response was that I had to get confirmation from the merchant that I didn't redeem the gift card, despite their 90-Day Money Back Guarantee. Do not risk your money with this company and their fraud.

I’d like give 0 stars be careful with this app they still you money in your face I bought a cinema card in discount and guess what. The card have not funds I was trying to contact with support and they have stupid IA robot answer you and it repeat the same again and again. It doesn’t resolve any problems just say escalate the situation. And never answer me back anymore I have to open the dispute with my bank to recovery my money it take 45 days so guys don’t buy any cards from this app they are scam.

gift cards stolen by GCX
Haven't been able to use the app for 3 months. Trying to log in to app gets the account locked. Try to log into web still locked. Try to reset password does nothing. Support accuses me of jailbreaking a device that isn't jail-breakable. Haven't been able to make purchases for 3 months and accused of security violations DURING THE THREE MONTHS I CAN'T USE THE APP. App is inaccessible, including all gift cards entered manually into "My Cards" manager/storage per suggestion of the app. Got tired of dealing with support and still getting repeatedly locked out, so started fresh account on different device, and then THAT ONE got shut down because you're only allowed "1" account. Yeah, it's not usable. That's exactly why I made a new one. 5 years using GCX/Raise at least, hundreds and hundreds of purchases of thousands(?) of dollars. Hundreds(?) more (external purchases) lost in the card manager when they lock the account because apparently 3 months of not being able to use the app is considered a serious security violation.
