I’d like give 0 stars be careful with this app they still you money in your face I bought a cinema card in discount and guess what. The card have not funds I was trying to contact with support and they have stupid IA robot answer you and it repeat the same again and again. It doesn’t resolve any problems just say escalate the situation. And never answer me back anymore I have to open the dispute with my bank to recovery my money it take 45 days so guys don’t buy any cards from this app they are scam.

gift cards stolen by GCX
Haven't been able to use the app for 3 months. Trying to log in to app gets the account locked. Try to log into web still locked. Try to reset password does nothing. Support accuses me of jailbreaking a device that isn't jail-breakable. Haven't been able to make purchases for 3 months and accused of security violations DURING THE THREE MONTHS I CAN'T USE THE APP. App is inaccessible, including all gift cards entered manually into "My Cards" manager/storage per suggestion of the app. Got tired of dealing with support and still getting repeatedly locked out, so started fresh account on different device, and then THAT ONE got shut down because you're only allowed "1" account. Yeah, it's not usable. That's exactly why I made a new one. 5 years using GCX/Raise at least, hundreds and hundreds of purchases of thousands(?) of dollars. Hundreds(?) more (external purchases) lost in the card manager when they lock the account because apparently 3 months of not being able to use the app is considered a serious security violation.

Dishonest pricing
I love the app. I love saving money. However, they don’t include the fee in the price and discount they show. They add the fee after. They should include this in the price and the discount percentage should reflect it.
Gone down hill
GCX has really gone down hill. I can’t purchase a card. It says contact support. I initiate chat. It says I need to go to the website, not the app. I go to the website, it says I will be contacted within 24 hrs. No one ever contacts me!
Buyer Beware: Misleading "90-Day Guarantee" and Zero Accountability
Avoid GCX. I bought a gift card that had a $0 balance from day one. I never used it. When I opened a support ticket, they completely refused to help, closed my request, and shifted the burden of proof onto me. They are actually forcing me to contact the merchant myself to do their investigative work. Their "90-Day Money-Back Guarantee" is a joke. Terrible buyer protection and zero accountability.

Ruined by Private Equity
GCX was a great way to save money through gift cards until it was recently purchased by a private equity company. Now the discounts are much smaller and they add a “buyer protection fee” that didn’t exist before them which significantly reduces any remaining discount you were getting.
Unable to add gift cards
I’ve been using this since the time of ‘Raise’, for more than 10 years and this app has been going downhill. When I open the app, it takes forever to load. The app is not letting me add new gift cards. When I got to My Cards > Add a card, I’m unable to click on a card, the keyboard just doesn’t work and won’t allow me to add a new card. I’m using an iPhone 17 pro. Please fix it, I want to continue using the app, but if not, I’ll have to look for alternatives.

Always There and Trusted
I’ve been using GCX since they were “Raise” and have always been a great way to save on purchases. Even helped me save a few dollars with some in-store purchases when I was a few dollars short. One example, I bought a few gift cards to save a few dollars and make up the difference. I got a Colombia coat while it was on sale which would’ve end by time I got my next paycheck. The cashier was surprised to say the least.

Buggy
Cannot manually add new cards to “My Cards”. (“Add” button is greyed out.) Cannot see updates to existing cards unless I kill the app and re-launch. The app used to work fine 6+ months ago. Just make the basics work. Don’t need fancy features.
Charged but not given
Used to work great but now will charge you without sending you the gift cards. Have to fight to get your money back.
Gone downhill
This the most frustrating, buggy app I’ve ever used. They also charge an extra fee now. I rarely use this app anymore.
Could not open the App. Help!
I am having trouble using the GCX app on my iPhone. My phone is an iPhone 12 running iOS 17.7.2. The GCX app will not work properly, but I can log in successfully through the GCX website on my Mac.

Fraudulent
I used this company to by a discounted gift card and they initiated the order with another company and a digital gift card was issued to me but behind the scenes they cancelled the order with the issuer but not with me after the gift card was issued causing the issuer to disable the gift card marking it as fraudulent. I didn’t find this out until months later when I went to use the card. My money is sitting in their account and they’re refusing to give it back in any form citing their 90 day policy as a reason to steal from me and yes I have conformation from the gift card issuer of this fraudulent activity. STAY AWAY from this company.

Legit and Convenient
I take a star off because the app is buggy and glitchy. It requires you to sign in every time even though its supposed to keep you signed in. The app can charge you an extra card after it tells you the card isnt available when selecting in the first place. So sometimes it can double charge. Sometimes the app crashes right after making a purchase. Now i have to open the app again just to view the card. Stick with the site for no app issues. Other than that, ive always bought discounted off it.

There was no warning that the gift card wouldn’t be available until up to 24 hours after purchase. Chat is not available after 6pm. Terrible app with no customer service available.

Great to Horrible
Used to be one of my favorites. 4.2.1 destroyed the app - barely functions with member wallets now! I’ve been waiting for 4.2.2 for over a month, but got slower and worse for loyal users because I can’t trust with my purchase since they take so long to populate and adding manually is entirely nonfunctional!
