App Will Not Load
Good app normally, but it now will not load at all. I like all of the functionality of the app, but it won’t load, what is the point?
Great product
We have had this system for over 5 years. Besides a few PV link issues we love our system. Generac Customer service is fantastic.
Not Accurate
System is connected to internet, but data is incorrect.
Needs improvement
It should include, in the solar production section, not only the kWh graph but also a kW chart. It should have a live vitals section where the grid voltage recorded by the inverter is visible, also shown in the app and logged. This information is very useful to assure proper operation of the system and a good starting base in case of troubleshooting.

Fantastic investment
This is perfect to see how well my solar is working for me!
Solar panels output right on.
I love the fact that you know how much output you’re using on your house. Everybody should have this to know what they’re using on Energy.
Doesn’t allow me to continue with current setup
When are you going to send me a phone that this will work on? The app worked just fine, for me, until you updated it and now it requires IOS 16. My iPhone will not accept IOS 16; Only up to IOS 15.8.5
Critique
PW does not save and frequently need to put in the PW. This is not an Apple issue. This is a PWR security issue.
Also, when the power went out, the backup battery did as well. No clear technical support or 800 number service on weekends? Really?

Blackstart
At this time no update significant. Waiting too long for a Good app, but Tesla app is better so far. The next time will give 0 star to PWRview. Oct 2 2025.
There is time to include the Blackstart Battery Status on the app. Like you included PV Link status recently , please include this gear. It is important and so crucial to know when It needs replacement. Imagine arriving in my house and I discover all PWRcell is shutted off for some reason, and I can not restart my System because Blackstart Battery is empty. How I will know that I needed replacement before? Thanks for your help.

Fine…with flaws
Info is good. Interface is generally fine. Overall provides what I am interested in seeing. Frustration is with the tariff info entry. I guess the field doesn’t allow leading 0’s on a zip code because my 08085 zip shows as 8085. Can’t correct this on the app and then the rest of the data entry field fails. Asked to have it corrected through service and had no response…twice. Would be a better app if I could actually get it to reflect all of my service and usage info.

My wishlist for this App
Need to be able to look at each Solar Panel and each PowerCell Battery pac. There was once an App that gave this info. But Generac stopped supporting this App. Generac can remote in and see these details, but we don’t see which piece of our system is potentially not working correctly or optimally.

Buy back option
Can you fix the app so we can fix the rate of which the power company buys back from us….
Data refresh not working
I like the info the app provides when it’s working , but most of the time lately it is not loading much data, even after the latest update that was supposed to fix it. Update: After a couple of days with no data it has now been working as expected.
New Update Problems
Update: developer team fixed the problem! Revised my review. Thank you. - Update from last week has broken the app. Now requires a force quit of the app every time you want to check system activity.
Pretty Good App
I have been using this app for years and appreciate the improvements and fixes that have been made, my app doesn’t freeze like others so it might be a platform/phone model issue. One add on that I would love to see is the ability to set what times my system switches between modes. I would like to have the system switch to priority backup during a specific time of day that is the cheapest for me (on a by hour rate) and then have it switch to self supply at a specific hour to offset high cost hours in my area without having to do it manually everyday.

Broke the app
This app has become a joke. If you leave the app and come back it doesn’t work. Have to force close and re-open every time. There have been almost no useful updates in the years that I have owned my system.
Why doesn’t Generac fix this pathetic app?
We’ve had our PWRcell system for a couple of years now and the PWRview app continues to underwhelm. It should be an embarrassment for Generac. I agree that the latest update seems to have made it even worse. I have to force quit it every time I try to use it just to be able to check status. Restarting my iPhone made no difference. The inability to download our own data is a slap in the face for the people who bought and own a PWRcell system. So sad.

I wish there was another option
This app has become worse with the latest update. I have to constantly force quit the app to load new content. The app will frequently show no data. It’s sad that in 2025 there is no way to bulk export data from the system or better, automate extraction via an API. For the investment customers make in these systems, I don’t think it’s too much to ask for them to be able to access the data from the systems production in a usable manner.
