Lektro lost in translation
Im reading “Lektro”, a book written in 1962. In the introduction alone, a score of German words I could not find on this App. Luckily Google Translate did the heavy lifting as an alternative. What gives? And why are the verbs not provided either full conjugation? Feels like someone cheapened out on this one.

This app is broken. Searches return nothing, interface is terrible, and the fonts are unreadable. Don’t bother.
Sadly, the app does not work.
Offline mode does not provide translations of text, from English to German or vice versa. It shows you what you typed and provides a blank result. I recommend trying another app…
Inadequate
Does not provide the gender of nouns. Missing many commonly used words. Minimal information on words it does have.
Doesn’t work!
It doesn’t cost, but it doesn’t work either. I tried with simple words from English to German and I got nothing in return. Also the contrast where you write and where you read is terrible.

Constantly crashes
Works once, then becomes stuck with no way out except to delete app and reinstall. Have finally given up on it. (It used to work great!)

Five stars for having the good sense to include the noun gender! I can’t tell you how frustrating it is when other dictionaries fail to supply this essential part of a German noun.

Unusable
The current version does not work properly with iOS 13. The flag image next to the search box is enormous and only leaves a few pixels to type into.
Moreover the app support link in the App Store goes to an advert for a different program.
Before it became unusable it was pretty good. But it’s been messed up for weeks now, I think it’s been abandoned by the developer.

Bug
The German flag eclipses the search field so that you can’t see what you’re typing.
Good For voiceover users
I really like the clean interface. Also love that once you type in a word, the app gives you some examples how that word can be used in german. I just wished that more dictionary apps would work like this. This app is a great tool to accompany your german grammer book.
