Lektro lost in translation

Im reading β€œLektro”, a book written in 1962. In the introduction alone, a score of German words I could not find on this App. Luckily Google Translate did the heavy lifting as an alternative. What gives? And why are the verbs not provided either full conjugation? Feels like someone cheapened out on this one.
