I paid for the subscription thinking they would have unlimited talk time with their characters but you still get 20 stars a day and the characters keep hanging up on my son wasting them.this was a waste of money

My daughter was using it and it showed her character and the princess pia character holding guns! I thought this was a kids app. We are mortified!
Misleading subscription service.
My son absolutely loved this app, and for a long time I would have happily given it 5 stars.
I completely understand that apps cost money to develop and maintain, and I have no issue with companies moving to a subscription model. In fact, I was willing to pay $9.99 per month because I wanted to support an app that my son, who is on the spectrum, genuinely enjoyed.
What I didn’t realize is that the subscription doesn’t appear to provide any meaningful benefit on its own. The only thing it seems to do is unlock the ability to purchase stars, which cannot be purchased without first paying for the subscription. In other words, you’re paying a monthly fee for the privilege of spending even more money.
We’ve spent a considerable amount on stars, and to make matters worse, the app frequently glitches. We’ve had stars disappear after purchasing them, only to reopen the app later and find our balance back at zero. That means money was spent and the stars were simply gone.
The subscription model feels unfair and misleading. I was happy to pay for premium access, but I expected the subscription itself to include some real value. Instead, it feels like an additional fee layered on top of ongoing in-app purchases.
This app had the potential to be great, and it used to be. But between the subscription requirement, the constant need to purchase additional stars, and the glitches that cause purchased stars to disappear, I can no longer recommend it.

I tried to set up an account but it won’t let me go on from typing in my phone number. Instead it sends me to a website that I can’t do anything with

Really love the sketch feature and talking to all the different characters. Glitch Squad is my favorite show!
Needs work
The phone call feature AI has a very hard time understanding my 3 year old toddler. For something geared towards children, it needs a lot of work having conversations. I interjected to help guide it and offer it structure for their call and it explicitly denied me and directly contradicted me several times. This is also unacceptable for a tool that parents are using to engage with their children.

My daughter has been using this app with my supervision for a few weeks. It’s great and encourages her to interact with the characters and she loves the stories it creates.

Great for kids
I downloaded this after seeing ads for it on social media. You can add photos that are turned into cartoon characters if you children and are then added to stories . Kids love seeing themselves in the stories as cartoon characters. It would be good if their characters featured more but I’m sure this will come. Another brilliant feature is the ability to call characters. You must try this as kids can have a full conversation with the au characters and it’s quite incredible how well they engage. This has mine and my daughter’s full recommendation.

Fun for all
My daughter loves the interaction with the characters in each story because she is included in them too. Her character even looks like her and the others use her name. I watch with her and enjoy this app. It is wholesome and safe.

My kids and I are so enjoying giant right now. My autistic son looks forward to making phone calls to one of the characters to tell them about his day. Most times I join in the fun. Thank you Giant for the wonderful creation.
Personalized
All of my kids love this app. They get to interact with all kinds of characters from tooth fairy’s to leprechauns. By interact I mean call them. They also love the personalized stories that include their names . This app is very personalized to your child. My one year old to 6 year old love this app . They wish to use it daily.

My son loves talking and playing games with the characters in the app . He says Cruz is his best friend. It definitely keeps him occupied and engaged with being overstimulating .
Very creative, fun app for kids
Love this app as a creative alternative to mindless tv shows and video games for my two girls. Our kids like to engage with it with their friends when they’re together.

Honestly, this has been a great tool and fun time to integrate with my son. I highly recommend it as it allows a very engaging format to practice conversations. It feels safe and having your own AI persona in stories is amazing for kids. He gets to say, “That’s me!”

I initially got the app so my kids could stop call everyone, but the fact that this app is genuinely loved by each child in my house, it’s awesome! My kids are able to talk their Giant friends and have actual conversations, ask questions, play games, and learn. After the calls, I get a notification of the summary of each call. I love this app, and they love it too! I’m sure you would as well!

I thought this app was so cute. Until my granddaughter spent several sessions chatting with “Santa”! Who promised to have a dollhouse she had been wanting for some time - delivered to her house the next day!!
SHE’S 6 years old! She still believes in the magic of Santa! She grilled Santa over and over about if he was being honest with her! The damage to this child’s hope and belief in magic was nearly destroyed!!!
Me struggling to find work for two years had to find a way to make this expensive doll house appear on her front porch!
So the app threatened a child’s heart and my financial stability!
I don’t know how the creators are allowed to put something out there that’s harmful to children!!!!!
