Selling info

Can’t register

Won’t move past the “create account” screen. Using Apple ID brings “decoding error.” Disappointing.

Amateur

Once you put something in the cart, you CANNOT remove it.

Horrible system and not secure

My friend and I attended an event and her registration was somehow screwed up and it said she was anonymous. An event assistant did a second registration and then he told her there were two different credit cards under her name and he said one was mine. I did a completely separate registration so there should be no way my card should have been linked to anyone else. When I tried to delete my card I was unable to do it. Givi sent instructions on how to delete at my request They did not work. When I informed them they then said they deleted my payment information but when I checked my card information is still there. Do not use this app!!

Not for large events

We had a 500 person event and check-in was a disaster. This was not user friendly at all for anyone above the age of 50. Guests who had registered didn’t show up in the app. Adding additional guests was cumbersome and convoluted. Guests weren’t able to transfer their tickets to others if they weren’t able to make it. Guests were not able to do much at all to manage their tickets at all really. We had to do most everything for them. The card readers they sent us didn’t work at all the entire night. Registering people for auction was an entire ordeal, and it held up the line all the way out the door since people had to manually enter their cards to join the silent auction (even if they weren’t paying with card, they had to add a card to participate, and it won’t let you add a card later). Glitches all throughout the app frustrated our guests. People were told they won certain items when they didn’t, and lost certain items when they had actually won them. The only real reason we used this app is because it’s directly integrated into our database, but honestly the cons are outweighing the pros here.

Frustrating - was never able to set up

Three IT folks and I spent 40 minutes trying to get the app to move past the Continue button when adding my info. Reinstalled twice to no avail. Was able to set up my partner’s app except when putting in the payment details, the app crashed and none of the info was retained. So much time wasted when we could have been enjoying the event instead. We finally gave up and deleted the app on both phones.

Major bummer

For some reason the app quit working so I deleted and downloaded again. To make a long story short, there must not be a way for the app to tell if the same person created multiple accounts, so I ended up bidding against myself! Glad I figured it out when I did, but if I win any items in this auction, I’ll end up paying way more than I should’ve.

Way more difficult than necessary

You probably have a link with a code which is why you landed on this app. The set up just to see your event or to enter an auction is overly cumbersome and intrusive. It even forces you to register payment information prior to making a purchase decision or decision to bid. Who does that? The loser here is the nonprofit I’m attempting to support. I deleted the app.

Don’t use

As 0 isn’t an option... Crashed 3 minutes before the end of a 700+person auction. Who knows how much revenue was lost.... pathetic. Took more than 20 minutes to come back on line. That’s a huge revenue loss to the event!

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. The success of the nonprofits we serve is our number one priority, and we take it very seriously. We deeply regret and apologize for the experience you, and the host of this event, had. Since this event we've made several updates to the Givi app, including doubling our reserved webserver capacity and implementing new autoscaling rules, to prevent crashes and ensure the success of similar auctions. We have also worked directly with the host of this event offline to help reconcile the issue. If there’s anything else you’d like to share about your experience please email as at support@qgiv.com. - Jessica B.

Awesome platform

GIVI is a great portal for easy access to several key functions like managing recurring donations and keeping up with events, we’re loving it so far!

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad you are enjoying the Givi app! -Jessica B.

Missing tech

The registration is overly cumbersome. I already have a QR code linked to my account but I cannot scan within the app to register me. There also is no camera scanning function to register a credit card. Minor updates to your technology could make this product much easier for folks who are donating money to a charity.
