One critique

I’m learning and enjoying so much from others’ photo perspectives. And I do really appreciate that Glass is not intended as a mass storage space as it refines the choices of what is posted. I just wonder though if others too would like it if it was possible to upload even just two photos at a time without having to make it a series .. rather than the current limit of one.

Fantastic Photographic Community!

If you care about photography Glass is an incredible place to share your photos. It’s ad and algorithm free. Just photos displayed beautifully and supportive, positive dialog with other photographers. No “look at me and how great my life is” posts/reels/etc.

Very cool place for all who like photography to share photo and inspira photos

I enjoy posting photos again

This app has single handedly made me enjoy posting and also taking photos again. Ever since the other app (you know which) has almost fully moved to reels and Ai slop and an algorithm that just wants you to watch more apps this apps approach with a subscription model and so many talented artists are such a joy to use. And one of the most important things for me is that the image quality is actually retained and not crushed down to a horrible pixel mess!!

Outstanding!

Three months on Flickr had me searching for something better, and I found that here in Glass. It’s designed to be intentional, with great photo sharing and community. None of the social media rat race. I personally value quality over quantity and found that with Glass. I’m happy to pay to be in a better “neighborhood”. I’m just finishing up my 7-day free trial and happy to say that I received some tips emails during that time, asked some questions to which Stefan quickly replied and received a reminder that my trial was about to expire in case I wanted to cancel before getting charged. That’s a class act and I’m staying. Thanks!

Where Photographers Actually Belong

Sceptical at first, but Glass has become my new favourite app. It’s a breath of fresh air compared to other social media platforms, photo-centric rather than an endless stream of short-form video. The community is full of genuinely talented photographers displaying thoughtful work, and the interaction is refreshingly positive and constructive. If you care about photography as a craft rather than chasing likes, Glass is where you want to be. Highly recommended.

Finally

A place for serious online interaction.

Great photos - wonderful people

Really a great photo community. Feels a bit like family! Optically great jpg conversion, very beautiful layout and design of user interface. Great staff and really worth trying it out!

Response from developer

Love hearing your positive experience with the community, Glass' technical side, and our support. Thanks for the awesome review!

Glass Photo App

The Glass photography app is fantastic for anyone into traditional photography! The community is welcoming and the Team continue to build in new innovations.

Disappointed

I found both the Ipad and web versions clunky and hard to navigate. Some features just don’t work (eg on web version when editing a photo and trying to add it to a series or a new series, cannot scroll down to ‘create new’).

Why so many reviewers have given it five stars I cannot image.

No Different

Nearly every year I try this app again and the issues are never resolved. The app keeps changing my privacy settings, still. No privacy, no participation.

Such an enjoyable community

Focused supportive community of individuals who explore photography. Worth a try

Amazing app, worth the price

Can’t explain how perfect an app this is for posting photos and exploring photography. The design, the community of photographers, and stunning quality. Feels like a small company passion project in the best way. Hope it keeps growing and improving!

A true photography community

I love many things about Glass: it’s thoughtful and elegant design, the way it pushes back against mindless tapping and scrolling, and the ways it fosters authentic sharing and community. In 2026, it’s a blessing to be able to share an image from any platform and get out of the mobile editing/cropping workflow. I also love the way it pulls in image metadata, and the concept of series.

There is Good in the universe!

No ads. No algorithms. No spam. No memes. No influencers. No reviews. No marketing. No data mining. No noise. No clutter. No distractions. No ‘like’ FOMO. And thankfully, not “free”.
I greatly prefer paying real money for the privilege and experience that the internet promised before big tech and advertisers ruined it.
To the devs, I rate you 100/10. Thank you for making this for people that care about photography.

The point?

First the interface is over-sized and clunky. Also I’m not sure what they’re trying to do here. They don’t allow galleries or publishers in there. They charge people just to log in and view posts. Who am I showing my content to? Other photographers?

Clear as Glass

amazing community! the best features for me are the ability to search for photos made with specific cameras and lenses and the chill interaction and encouraging comments between members. tired of facebook groups? the question is not why glass but why not glass 🖤

Response from developer

You're asking the right question! Massive thanks!

I cant pull up my collections, the last two glass downloads took my phone out of the loop!

SUBSCRIPTION REQUIRED

This could be a great app and a great way to meet other photographers and see their work, but it appears that you need a subscription to even be able to upload photos :/ While some may be willing to pay, it becomes unusable for those who are beginners and want to start in the community.
