Not usable anymore

I have the app from my employer who activated the emergency call, and now it’s asking me to check my phone number (AT&T from USA if it matters), I’m requesting a verification code, I receive it, enter it then the app says is invalid (tried 3 times and all codes from sms are invalid, how?)
