Terrible app, after 8 years I can promise they are the WORST
GOAT is a terrible app / company that’s only got worse. Where should I start. They have a substantial fee added to every single item which they HIDE from their users / customers. When someone lists an item for sale, GOAT adds a large fee on top of the list price and tricks users into thinking there are no additional fees yet there is and it’s baked into the price buyers see. There is zero mention of this anywhere outside of buried deep into fine print.
Their sales data for items is full of FAKE sales which never happened. Anyone can accept a bid and not send the item or even own it, yet the data remains as an actual sale. Same if someone sends in a fake item that doesn’t pass. The sale info remains.
Speaking of that, they pass tons of fakes, more than competitors and they make it extremely difficult for a buyer to return and get compensation. I’ve seen this happen to so many people.
They have by far the worst customer service. No phone number, no chat, and the emails I’m very certain are all AI.
I guarantee if you receive an item you have any type of issue with, you will be stuck with it. And will have to file a dispute with your CC and hope for the best.
For sellers they have BY FAR the highest fees of any other platform. These fees amounts can only go up but will never go down no matter how much one sells or how well they preform. Every single seller using the platform only does so Becuse they use others as well and just want more sales. No one only uses GOAT as it’s a joke. Also their users will often overpay and sellers want to take advantage.
Lastly they charge top dollar for shipping but often use the cheapest, worst shipping companies imaginable. Charging $15+ for buyers and $5+ from sellers to cover shipping while using the lowest end shipping services around which cost them pennies on the dollar.
Just on the buying side, I’ve had over 60% of my purchases get refunded in almost a decade. Yes over 60%.
People with minimal experience with the app may think they’re better than others but that’s the furthest from the truth.
And lastly the company buys bulk shoes and clothes that have defects and other issues and they list these items themselves. Selling items with quality issues they wouldn’t let sellers get away with. AND THEY WILL KEEP SELLERS ITEMS AND NOT RETURN THEM FORCING SELLERS TO PAY LEGAL COUCEL TO PURSUE LEGAL ACTION JUST TO GET THEIR BELONGINGS RETURNED! I’ve seen 250+ cases of this in the last year and half alone and that’s just what I’ve personally seen. Stay far away from this shady company

There’s a reason why this app is called the GOAT.! Sometimes I forget that every shoe, sweater or whatever is owned by a special kind of personality behind the scenes. In which them GOAT’S too.! I’ll tell you what, the shoes I just ordered makes me a GOAT, just because this app is one. Thanks GOAT.!

Will not let me log in
The app won’t let me sign in. When I type in my username/password, it then says I require 2-factor authentication and that it will send me a code to my email. When I select “okay” it then pops up a blank screen and a notice that says “You need to be signed in.” I click ok again and it brings me back to the login screen, and I do the exact same thing on a loop over and over again. I’m trying to track a shipment and I cannot do this without logging into my account in the app. What else am I supposed to do?

Fake Nike tech and can’t refund even when I sent pictures to goat that’s it’s not real
I bought a Nike tech off goat and when I got it it was completely fake the v tape and zipper weren’t the same as the 2 real Nike techs I have at home it felt very cheap and goat said I couldn’t refund it or return it even when I sent a bunch of photos comparing my Nike techs to the one I bought off them.
