App is buggy
Can’t even create my profile or add kids. App just crashes. I’d steer clear of this one. Was a disappointing and underwhelming experience.

This app has potential, but it’s hard to use and aspects of it are really not intuitive. Overall I’m pretty disappointed and it’s a shame because clearly a lot of effort has been invested in putting this app together. It’s a shame it really falls short.
We had trouble initially because we didn’t realize we needed to set ourselves up as family groups. So now one kid is duplicated because both his parents input his name. When I look at the details of the carpool, there are six adults listed (I have no idea how!), but there are really only four of us. I don’t know how to delete the two adults that are duplicated. So we have a carpool with three kids listed when there are only two and six adults listed when there are only four.
It also seems like you can change your child’s pickup location for just a particular day, but that’s not the case. If you change it for one day, the app changes it for the whole series. So if a child is at one parent’s house one day and you want to change his pickup location just for that day, you can’t. The app will change it for the entire series. I thought I might work around this by adding a note to each individual day when the child will be at the other parent’s house, so I upgraded to the pro version to be able to do that. No luck there either. If you try to add a note to just one day, that same message populates on every single day, which is ridiculous. Why would I want the exact same message to appear on every single day??? The way the app is set up is very misleading because it truly looks like the message you add will only be connected to that day. And if you want to delete the message once you realize that’s what’s happening? No luck there either. There doesn’t seem to be a way to delete chats.
There’s also no support offered that I can see (if you’re using the app as a parent and are not connected to a particular school). It does appear that there’s support if you’re using the app through a school. I would gladly pay for a monthly subscription if this app worked in a more sensible way. Or if I had access to any support at all. As it is, it’s just frustrating.

Does not work
My first time using. As other parents have, setup is very complex. Setup a carpool to repeat for each weekday with a return trip enabled. When you go to schedule, you only see one side, one day repeated each week. Return trip is not even there in schedule. Tried to delete the carpool and reset up. Nope, won’t allow to cleanly delete it. This is worse than simple function in google spreadsheet.

Clunky Mess
The structure of this app is atrocious! Very difficult to make changes and understand what is going on in the carpools. DO NOT recommend!
Kind of a mess
Good concept but insanely buggy and unintuitive. I've been working with support in trying to join the group for my daughter's school for two weeks and it still doesn't work. Its probably one of those apps that needs to be blown up and rebuilt with more modern development and UX standards.
Very Organized
My family has been using GoKid for a carpool to morning choir. I can see right on the app if it is my turn to drive and who I am picking up that morning! The list of carpool dates are shown in a very organized fashion, which is so helpful for a busy parent who is rushing to get out of the door for early morning choir rehearsal!

Glitchy
Thought this would work great for the school year, but didn’t look like it will. I tried to create a new carpool but the location never populates. The done button remains greyed out even after I enter the address in it’s entirety. If this could be fixed it would be a great app.
Can’t get it to work!
The app sounded amazing but I can’t even get past the set up stage. I have been trying for days to input my address to accept an invitation and the app won’t allow it. My friend has reached out for help multiple times with no answer so I guess we will have to arrange carpools the old fashioned way.

Bogus App Privacy
This app claims to not collect any data in its App Privacy declaration, but it requires a name, email and phone number just to create an account.
Why Apple allows a developer to create a bogus App Privacy declaration is not clear, but I wouldn’t trust an app with such a blatant disregard for privacy transparency.

Can't set up with TeamSnap
I downloaded this app because it advertises that it can be integrated with TeamSnap and yet after I downloaded it there was no indication that I could have it connect to TeamSnap. The + icon on the bottom right off my screen simply allows me to set up a carpool ride and does not give me the option to integrate with TeamSnap option as it shows in one of the images.

Glitch When Opening App
There’s a glitch that shows a Google world map when opening the app (that you can’t exit out of). I have to shut the app down, restart it, then it shows the carpool info. This is happening to everyone in our carpool so it’s not just on my device. I submitted a support ticket but if it’s happening to anyone else, I urge you to do the same.

We are huge fans of GoKid! We have several carpools going that get my kids to the right places and the right times! It’s so user friendly. Pushing a button rather than having to call 6 different people because of a time or driver change is the absolute best. Thank you for helping keep our life so organized!

GoKid is one of my most favorite apps!
I’m not sure what I did before discovering GoKid, and can’t imagine coordinating life with multiple kids in multiple sports without it. You’re missing out on an easier & better way to stay coordinated and organized if you haven’t tried it!

Has potential but not there now
Another mom suggested we use this to help with our 5 kid carpool. I’m not a fan this app, 4 months into use. It’s cumbersome. It provides the basic function of organizing a carpool for all to see. But even with the paid subscription (don’t pay for it! Adds nothing) - the format is a never ending scroll of days. You can’t just search for you or your child in the schedule. The buttons to select or skip a ride are easy to confuse. There’s no way to lay this out as a calendar, can only scroll. The physical appearance of the app doesn’t help with easy reference for your child’s name or patents (as the user, or the passenger, my name should be a different color).
The other 4 moms feel it’s functional enough. I suspect they don’t dislike it quite as much as I do ( I have 4 kids, and can’t quickly pull up info at work without possibly misreading it; I’m looking for easier!). I feed a google spreadsheet is much easier & dynamic enough for our purposes. I’ll keep looking for a better alternative to introduce to the carpool. For now, I’m stuck with this!

Please try using the filters at the top of the screen to quickly see the carpools you're driving or that specific children of yours are in. To help distinguish yourself and your kids from others, we really recommend adding pictures of yourself and your children in your profile (just go to the profile and tap your image or your kids image), then you'll easily be able to distinguish who is who in the carpool. If you prefer a monthly calendar view, I'd like to kindly suggest you check out our desktop version (my.gokid.mobi), it might meet your particular needs better. I hope that those tips help make the app work better for your needs - if they've helped please consider updating your review. Great start - needs more options
Just started using this app which I thing is a great organization tool however it would be helpful to add an option in the profile for how many kids can fit in our car. We have some people only able to take three kids while others can fit more. I’d also like to see the option of choosing the carpools myself instead of automatically being added. Just some feedback! Great start!

Regarding joining carpools - you should only be added to a carpool if you accept the invitation, it should never automatically add you. This app has been so helpful with sports carpooling. Easy to set up and navigate the app. Helpful prompts. Round trip and one way options. Also offers route suggestions! Highly recommend!
Outstanding Customer Service!
This app has been a lifesaver for our middle school carpool. Everyone’s schedules change on a daily basis. This is a great and easy way to stay organized and communicate effectively. Bonus! They have excellent customer support should you ever have to ask a question.
Super app for organizing carpools
Our hockey carpool (5 families) has used this app for 2 years. It makes it very simple to schedule rides and determine who is driving. It’s great for set pick up and drop off times. When we have had any questions, the support team helped right away! This app is so much better than having to text and email to make ride decisions.
