It’s a good idea and well organized but clearly it’s extreme left wing biased so unfortunately it can’t really be trusted. Bummer.
Democrat Bias
Very much has a democrat bias. Love it shows what’s going to what but it just shows everything supported for Trump in a list but nothing for what was supported for other democrats.
Doesn’t account for people who live in food deserts or gas deserts, or buy local and used
While taking the test for services it gives a very limited option for most categories which doesn’t allow for people to state thrifting, used cars, or even lack of options in their area. With this in mind it tells you which political party you are financially supporting without considering that there are no other options and this makes it difficult to actually assess your financial contributions to policy since many of the options are big business box chains and not local agencies. I get they can add all businesses but by assessing on what is available in your options you are discounting what people donation their local communities. When your option is other it doesn’t see that as an independent instead it doesn’t count it and rates you based on the options that are the only ones listed that care available. For instance car makes without consideration of them being used or classic, grocers without the option for the local co-op, and so on. This makes people feel less heard and understood.

Hi Jesslynn, the survey is mostly there to show you who and what your money supports, to illustrate that everyday purchases can have unintended effects. It's not meant as a judgement on your decisions - it's purely informative. We've had plenty of people comment on it though, and are building out a more comprehensive, dynamic survey. To your point, we're almost finished with a new data pipeline which will let us add many, many more businesses and address a common issue, which is people in food deserts like yourself. Additionally, big box companies tend to be the ones donating huge sums to politics. We're trying to show you who's trying to buy elections so you can put pressure on a few of them, rather than giving a comprehensive audit of every transaction (most companies, after all, don't donate). We'll definitely give some thought to thrift shops, used car dealerships, and more local businesses. Thank you so much for your thoughtful response here! Used to be good, now bloated
This used to be great, and simple. Now a slow and bloated mess. Routinely shows new notifications with nothing new in the app.
Took my money, never researched companies or replied. Felt scammed.
As stated. I reached out several times and was thoroughly ignored about my $39 order to expedite research on two companies. Had hopes it was a miscommunicstiom, seems they just took the money and ran. Unfortunate.
Confused!
Where I once found this app quite useful, since the last update, I find that I can no longer reliably find what I am looking for. For example, I did a search for a sitting congressperson and got nothing - and the name *was* spelled correctly. 🤨
The free app has been ruined by ads
The app provides tons of valuable information. I opened it today for the first time in a long time, and it was lousy with ads. I accidentally opened 2 ads, while trying NOT to click on them.

Creating an Account
I like the app, it does help you see where you’re putting your money towards. I’m just having a hard time creating an account. I don’t get the email to verify my email address. No matter how many times I try. I also tried inputting a different email address, but it tells me to verify the first one before trying to change it. Very frustrating.

Quick check for political affiliations
A great way to do a quick check when making decisions for shopping for those who would like to influence corporations on the retail level. I really enjoy the little game that helps me to learn companies' choices for political donations. Helps me to make choices that ultimately will play a part in the presently unrealized power of citizens to influence the direction of corporations.

Incredible Source
Goods Unite Us is a such a well developed app, this small team has provided, and continues to add a plethora of organizations to their app FOR FREE. They’re very transparent with sourcing as well. Thank you to the team and everyone needs this app. I am a a better shopper with it, I not only shop consciously, but also, support the causes that I feel are important. If you can’t find the org. you’re looking for, the option to add it is provided but because they get so many requests it isn’t ensured. That is where a small fee comes in, to ensure your requested org. is prioritized/added you have the option to pay, currently it costs $24.99 each. I haven’t needed it yet, but if I do I will utilize it definitely worth it to show some support!

Love that they have data for most big brands and organizations. Also am proud knowing this was created in my home state of WI. It’s apps like these that empower and enable us to make informed decisions that align with our values, without having to google search through thousands of websites.
Fixed Home Depot boycott button but screwed up mobile phone search - it hides your results
Search field - when you start typing in it, obscures keyboard over search field display so you cannot see what you are typing and or the results

Empowering
This application was a great idea. I feel more empowered. With this, I have knowledge of where I spend my money cause there is no way I would ever support Trump. Everyone should be using this app.
