Great app, some hurdles to use

This is the best bird ID app available for Apple devices. So straightforward to use, and lovingly presented. NOTE: The app will ask you for account login or email address in order to access it, and this cannot be done without cell or WiFi access, and the process for downloading the app's content to your phone so that the app works without connectivity doesn't get pushed through until *after* you log in, so make sure you get everything set up at home before you take it into the field.

Login kills utility in the field

Audubon updated this app so that in order to open the app it requires an account registration and login credentials or (alternatively) an email address you are willing to submit and receive emails at. Either way requires cell or WiFi service, which makes the app useless in the field.

Off-line field guide

After updates it keeps making me redownload off-line field guide. You only notice this while off-line. Making the app useless till you get service again. It has now happened 3x to me.

love it

great for birding

Awesome app if you’re a bird lover or curious!

I downloaded this app a couple years ago and haven’t been using it that much until recently and it’s amazing at finding the birds that I’m seeing in my front yard here. It’s a really good Wildlife area. And believe it or not I live in the city. I love that there are several different pictures of both male female species as well as several different voice recordings that each bird produces. It’s a great tool and I love it. The calls are clear.
