It seems like no matter what you put in for a job search, the result is Null.

Horrible search parameters. Just a scam for $1.99.

Can you please provide more information about what search options you are using? I am unable to reproduce the problem of a Null search result. Can you try resetting some of the search filters and try again? I tried a few different Keyword searches and am seeing results as expected.

USA Jobs is better

Doesn’t have the same level of filters as the website. Not worth the money. App is cumbersome to use. Wanted to filter for telework but app doesn’t give that option like the website does.

Twenty five new search filters were added in version 3.0. Can you please install the update and see if it is better now?

Hopefully you find Gov Job Search useful for your job search. App Store transactions like purchases and refunds are handled by Apple. You can request a refund from Apple if you go to https://reportaproblem.apple.com.

Horrible

Please take this app off of the App Store. The idea is wonderful but it very much so feels like this is an abandoned project. I cannot search the area that I am searching, I cannot search what department I’m looking for, and many more issues. I bought this app to help me sort information, I find myself spending way more time clicking every job listing just to see they’re hiring in North Carolina. On the map, I see 10+ jobs hiring in my area but I cannot click on them and they are not identified by anything on the map so I can not go back to the listing page to find it. I’ve completely wasted my money. Disabled vet desperately trying to find a job and this was just another headache. Please just remove yourself from this app or at least stop charging for an incompetent service.

Thank you for the detailed information, but it's a little confusing. When you search the area that you're searching, are you talking about filtering by Location or viewing jobs on the Map? The Location view will let you filter and select specific locations. You see 10+ jobs on the map, but say they are not identified by anything. I want to understand the problem in more detail and fix it in the next release.

Closes every time

I paid for this app and it shuts down every time I try to use it

Can you please provide more information, like what device or version of iOS you are using? Can you try to close and reopen the app or else reinstall it from the App Store?

Needs an overhaul

This app is outdated and in need of modernization. It could use a filter for experience and recent graduates. It freezes and crashes.

Thanks for downloading Gov Job Search. A new version is in the works and I am looking at adding support for the 'Hiring Path' search option, which should let you filter jobs for Recent Graduates.

It did not locate anything for me

I will like to have my money back! 1.99 but took 6.99 out my account!

Can you please provide more information about what search options you are selecting? Did you try resetting the search options? I'd like to understand and fix the problem. You can request a refund from Apple for purchases made in the App Store at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Still not working

I just downloaded the app...that I paid for...I put in all my criteria and hit search...CRASH! This happened over and over again...I want my two bucks back🙄

Did you try filtering by organization or department? A quick search of HSI organizations showed 20 pages of results. Can you provide more information about what you’re doing, what is happening, and what you’re expecting?

Can you please provide any more information to help troubleshoot, like what search parameters/options or model of iPhone/iiPad you are using?

This app is not very user friendly

This app is not very user friendly. For an example, if you go to select a location, there is not switch action that locks in the location. You have to cancel the location selected and it returns to the profilled screen of “all”. Ugh, waste of two bucks.

Doesn’t work

Keep getting “Search Error” message. Search function does not auto-complete or refine list of results. Only includes “nurse” but not “nurse practitioner.” Location is difficult to select due to lack of sensitivity to search words. App is poorly designed in functionality.

Are you still getting a Search Error? Can you try resetting the filter options and then search again? Occasionally, the data source is unavailable for maintenance. Will try to improve the features you mentioned in the next update.

Job data

Online site has an abundance of results using the same search parameters. App has little to none. Seems like the app has limited data access.

There are "Special Notes" in the App Description that provide more information about data access and limitations. Will try to improve the search results compared to the online site in the next update.

OK. Could be better.

Only OK at what it does. Two problems I’ve found:

1. You can’t save positions you’re interested in to review later.

2. I’ve found problems with location-based searches. For example, if I include Somerset County in PA as a location to include, the search results will include jobs located in Somerset NJ.

Thank you for the constructive review and detailed examples. The app does save your search options, but sounds like it could be better. Your feedback will be considered for the next update.

Scrolling

It takes lots of time scrolling up and down to find items. Would be great using a searching window to optimize time and at the end, choose the right wording.
