Not Worth It

You can get a number of streaming services for cheaper than this screen-grab app, THAT’S how much they want you to pay. Without paying, you only get standard definition, not the advertised 4k. At that point, taking a regular screenshot is better.

Unnecessary prompt after screen capture

I bought the $20 subscription. Like another user stated, an extra prompt or notification that says the photo was saved is totally unnecessary and ruins the flow of capturing the frame. For example, capturing a tennis stroke involves creating 20-30 still frames from a video if you have click on ok to dismiss the notification that the image was saved it totally disrupts the process. If you are doing this to buy some time and allow the app to write to storage then you have serious flaw in the app design. Also your email is doesn’t work so can’t even give you feedback because you want the native iOS email to be used, well I don’t. Therefore you’re receiving 1 star, will reconsider when you fix these issues

So expensive

Using this kind of app is only useful when you don't wanna waste time doing it on a computer for free. Having those prices for such a basic service is crazy

Annoying pop ups

Every time I save a photo am annoying pop up telling me to subscribe appears. I can still save, but each screenshot I have to close the annoying pop up first. SO ANNOYING!

In response to the developer response:

"In the meantime, subscribing can remove these prompts and unlock all of our premium features..."
I complain about your popups begging me to subscribe and your 'solution' is just to tell me to give you money?! NO, I DO NOT WANT TO GIVE YOU MONEY!

No free trial

Really? I’m not paying that nosebleed pricing to not get to try it first

Useless without payment

Exports pics in poor quality without subscription. Dudes, seriously, I can take a screenshot of a video with better quality for FREE!

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your frustration, but we want to clarify something: Grabz is designed to extract exact frames from videos with precision timing, which is quite different from taking screenshots. While screenshots can work in some cases, they often miss the exact moment and can introduce quality loss or screen artifacts. Our free version provides a good starting point, while the premium version offers additional features like maximum resolution exports and advanced frame selection tools. We need to maintain this model to continue developing and improving Grabz. If you're experiencing unusually poor quality in the free version, this might not be intended behavior. Please contact us at help@beehivelabs.co.uk with examples, and we'll be happy to investigate. We appreciate your feedback and continuously work to provide value in both our free and premium versions.

Not high res

Rip off. Only 280kb.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback about Grabz's output resolution. You're right that the free version has limitations on export size. For full resolution frame exports (matching your source video quality), you'll need our premium version. If you're seeing unusually low resolution (280kb) even with premium, please contact us at help@beehivelabs.co.uk - we'll investigate as this isn't expected. Please include: Your device model iOS version Source video resolution Exported frame size We aim to provide the best possible frame extraction quality and want to ensure you're getting the resolution you need.

All good and nice but limited resolution

Can’t save in HD resolution in free version.

Response from developer

Thanks for your balanced review of Grabz! You're correct - the free version does have resolution limitations. The HD resolution export is part of our premium features, which allows you to save frames at your video's full resolution. We maintain this free/premium split to help us continue developing and improving Grabz while keeping basic functionality available at no cost. If you frequently need HD frame exports, we encourage you to try our premium version. Thanks for trying Grabz and for sharing your feedback!
