Awesome team and app

I’ve been struggling for a long time and I’m going into college soon and really wanted to gain control before I left for college. I’m also broke so when I reached out to the Gracen team, without hesitation they offered me a year free trial! I’m already seeing promising results, it’s definitely working better than other methods I have tried.

Truly Christ Centered

I’ve encountered many apps that promise an empty, will power oriented approach to overcoming temptation. Gracen stands out. This is a truly Christ centered, God honoring app. As a university student I don’t have much money available to spend on subscriptions. After reaching out to the team about my situation, I was offered a 1 year free trial to see if the app was a good fit. Truly a generous and loving act that clearly shows the developer’s intentions. Unlike other companies, they are not in this for the money alone, Gracen is an app that truly seeks to make a difference and to bring others closer to Christ. I love that scripture and prayer are directly incorporated into the app’s interface and approach to recovery. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Content Filter issue

The content filter will stop you from turning it off, but it does not work within other apps like Reddit or X. When I tried to let support know through the app, the app would not let me send it.

Can’t make an account

Can’t really review the app since I’m unable to make an account. Tried to hit Join, but it just loads infinitely. Tried signing in with my email, just says subscription found but entitlements not available. Could y’all please help me out?

Struggling

This helps a lot

Amazing people and amazing app

I reached out to the team and told them I wasn’t able to afford the subscription. They gave me a year for free with no questions. I can’t express how much that means and it shows the owners truly care about the people using the app to help grow closer to god and leave the sinful life behind.

More engaging than Covenant Eyes

I love Gracen. I had Covenant Eyes for a year and it did little to nothing to truly target a fallen sinful heart. Gracen allows for much deeper community connection with others in the thick of the fight against our fallen flesh. You can add friends and chat with others in a way CE didn’t let me and there’s a great deal of encouragement and strength to be gained from that. Also, the SOS button feature is fantastic to get you through a moment of temptation with focused breathing, scriptural encouragement and guided prayer as well as prompts for physical activity and recentering your focus to overcome wrong desires. I really enjoy that in the set up you’re prompted to share your personal motivation for overcoming, then on the home page you’re reminded of that daily when you go through the devotional and recommitment. 10/10 5 stars all the way 🙌

Good app

I liked it it has a lot of fun features and builds community with others, plus being able to visually see progress is great and having a good daily devotion built in is a plus.

Great

It’s been really helping with fighting against my addiction. There’s wonderful people on there that can help you when you’re struggling, and it really helps you keep going when you feel like giving up.

Amazing!!

It’s wonderful! I’m 95 days clean so far, but I would really recommend the development of more milestones past 90 days

New direction

I’m looking forward to seeing what this app can do for me

Thank god!

A place to give it to god

Clearly made by the same people who made Quittr

I deleted Quittr after they stole my money and gave me literally nothing. I checked Reddit and so many other people had the same experience and after months still don’t have their money or subscription. I requested a refund within 20 minutes of “getting my subscription” saw this and thought maybe this would be better saw the quiz and it is the exact same as Quittr and saw the reviews stating it has a paywall. So obviously it’s made by the same people. So yeah don’t get this app. I’ll be quitting porn the same way I quit alcoholism. By willpower.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. That sounds like a horrible experience, and we're sorry you went through it. Just to clarify, Gracen isn't affiliated with Quittr. We're our own team and our own app. We respect your decision and genuinely wish you the best on your journey, whether you use an app or not. If you're in a tough spot and genuinely need Gracen, please email us at support@gracen.app. We want to help where we can. 🙏

Scam

Paid for the annual at the 90% off rate ($2.50/month) or $30/year and was immediately charged $55. Then I couldn’t even log in and it wanted me to pay again. Don’t waste your time or money.

Absolutely not.

I will not give ANY app money, I needed help, I’m not here to give you a review before I can even use the app, you guys want to help, MAKE AN ENTIRELY FREE OPTION FOR PEOPLE WHO CANT PAY RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!

Needs money

This app requires a subscription which I don't like, why should being relived of such a difficult thing be based of money it should be free, idk how the app is so I can't give it a fair rating so I'll go for a 3 to keep it even

Paywall…

If you are really in the business of helping people then your app should be free, not a monthly or yearly subscription… Just using god’s name to make money…

Evil

Using faith to churn a profit

Behind a pay wall

Log on after deleting quitr turns out this is just a cheap knock off using Gods name as a money grab.

Paywall

I understand the concept of running a business, but if you’re truly trying to do a christian outreach then you won’t claim to offer all of these things to help someone struggling with porn addiction and then hide it behind a paywall. It just makes another barrier
