Greed gets them all eventually
Was a great app until the developer got greedy and took away features and put them behind a subscription paywall. No one with a brain is gonna pay $40/yr for a grocery list app.
Having issues with the app
I have used this app over any other shopping list app because it works best for me but lately, there have been several issues with the app. I tried to add multiple items to my list using voice notes and it would get everything down right but when I hit “done” it would not add to the list. Today I was making my list and I had added several items (it took me a while to get it) and then later I remembered something I forgot and was goi g to add it to the list I made I found out that my whole list was empty so now I have to start over from the beginning

Need to tally prices during a trip
My old grocery store app is no longer available in the App Store, so I had to find a new one. This one comes close to my favorite old one, but there’s no reason to add prices for items if it’s not going to tally what you’re spending as you go. When I click off items, it should total at the bottom so that I can track how much I’m spending as I go. Just making the item disappear doesn’t really accomplish much. Please add this feature!

Too complicated
You shouldn’t have to type in the item and then hit done at the bottom because if you hit done at the top, the item doesn’t get added to your list. Then when you do type in the item and hit done at the bottom, you have to hit done also at the top in order to go in and put the quantity. This is just too complicated. It should not be this way.

Takes 1 minute to load categories
Twicular needs to check their servers supporting this app. It used to work great, but now it takes 1 minute per item for the app to formulate what aisle/section the item belongs (for instance, milk would be in dairy). If I just wanted a list that wasn’t categorized, I would use notepad.

I like this app and I gave it 3 stars instead of 4 because it doesn’t give a running total after I cross off items. It would be nice if it gave a total for each grocery list so I can better budget. Being able to add in prices is a plus! But give me a running total please. Thank you!
FIX THE APP!!!!!!!!!!!
I pay the premium monthly subscription fee for this app. It frequently does not allow my list sharer to see the list. The items are often wrong and cannot be recovered. This results in incorrect grocery purchases. Today I logged out to try to fix the problem and now cannot log back in. I cannot recover my password because it says there is a server error. Meanwhile, I am paying for this app every month. Very angry.

Gone downhill
I have used this app for a

cpompletely free. It used to be good and synchronize between my phone and iPad. Not any more. Now it doesn’t update the items I try to add.

Alphabetize
Please make it so we can Alphabetize the heading in grocery list.
Was great not anymore.
I loved this app and had been using it for 4-5 years. Then about two weeks ago I accidentally deleted a list and I asked support about getting the list back. They told me in order to get my list back I had to sign up for premium which I did not want to do. So I got frustrated finally agreed to the premium and when I downloaded it and went back into my list the list that I wanted back did not come back and they had also lost all my favorites and saved items. I just can’t believe it happened. Useless and asked for more support and did not get any answers.

I do NOT recommend this app. Do not WASTE your MONEY and time.
I PURCHASED this app years ago. After the recent forced upgrade, I can only have one list And I can only add one item to that list. Unless, of course, I want to PAY AGAIN for upgrade to premium. I am deleting and never looking back.

Not gonna pay
This app now demands pay in order to save lists. I’ve used it for years without paying. It’s a great app, and I’m still using it. But I will not pay them a monthly fee to make a list. I’m annoyed at this change and will continue to search for an alternative. When I find one, adios.
I used to love using this app
I have used this app for a long time but since the last update it has become so confusing and irritating that I am strongly considering going a different direction, and that does Not mean I will go with the premium app. I am beginning to hate this app. I guess someone got greedy.
Problems!!
I have used this app for a couple of years since my last grocery app stopped being supported. Before this recent update, it was pretty good - not perfect but very functional and useful. Now with the update, features that were free are no longer and things just don’t work properly. I bit the bullet and paid for it but I still cannot get my ‘custom aisles’ to show up - only the ones that I had before the upgrade. And, when I add an item via a list and go to choose the aisle to put it in, my aisles are all scrambled, not in the order of my ONLY store that I shop at. I sent a msg through the app to ask about these things and it was never answered. Very disappointed & will be looking for something better!

What on the world happened to this app. Used to work great, but recent updates to refresh the ui were a complete fail. Looks good, but sync stinks and adding items to list is now hit or miss. Such a shame.

Since the new update, it took away all the features I used! Not happy with this app! Bring the old one back!!!

I have used this app for years and loved it. Now with the new update it won't even open. It's gone from a 5 to a zero. Now I see they have made a pay version that you pay for monthly. I use this app to save money not spend more. Off to see if I can find a different app for groceries. Thanks for all the good years, I am sad that you changed and I can't use you. BTW I have an iphone 13 pro max so it's not that my phone isn't up to date. 😥

Great shareable grocery list
They used to allow you to share a list with someone, which was the main reason I liked GroceryPal before. Now they require you to get a Premium upgrade. And not just a one time purchase. Their cost is $1.99 per month. Didn’t realize my free apps would go through inflation too.
