About

Your tennis doesn’t have to disappear when you leave the court. Requires Apple Watch and iPhone. Grounds is a tennis companion that helps you capture a session, make something from it, and share it your way. Start Grounds on your Apple Watch before you play. We’ll keep track of the session while you focus on tennis. When you’re done, open your iPhone to look back at your time on court, heart rate, active calories, and estimated forehand and backhand counts. Then make the session yours. Add a photo. Write something about the day. Choose the metrics that matter to you. Turn it into a recap you can save, post, or send to a friend. PLAY. SAVE. SHARE. • Record tennis sessions from your Apple Watch • Save workouts to Apple Health • See duration, heart rate, calories, and other session details • See estimated forehand and backhand counts for supported player profiles • Remember where you played with an optional court location • Create photo and video recaps from your sessions • Customize what you show before saving or sharing MADE FOR TENNIS, NOT PERFECT STAT-KEEPING Grounds uses movement from your Apple Watch to estimate how many forehands and backhands you hit. They’re estimates, not line-by-line match statistics. Some strokes may be missed and some movements may be counted incorrectly. Fast, repetitive drills can also be intentionally undercounted to avoid inflating your numbers. Stroke estimates are currently available for supported player profiles. If yours isn’t supported yet, you can still record, save, and create from every session. YOUR TENNIS STAYS YOURS Grounds is local-first. There’s no Grounds account, no ads, no analytics, and no social feed deciding what you should see. Your sessions live between your Apple Watch and iPhone. If you choose to save a court location, Grounds captures a single location near the beginning of your session. It does not track your route. Preview your story and choose the metrics you include. Then open it in Instagram or Messages, use the iPhone share sheet for another destination, or save it to Photos. Grounds does not automatically publish your stories. Grounds keeps its own session and Gallery storage out of device and iCloud backups. Copies you save or share with other apps follow their storage and privacy settings. REQUIREMENTS Grounds requires an Apple Watch paired with an iPhone to record a tennis session. iPhone: iOS 17 or later Apple Watch: watchOS 10 or later
