literally no choice but to pay to access anything

once you download it you answer a few random questions that don’t really have anything to do with learning, once youre past that it takes you a paywall that you can not pass without enabling a 3 day free trial before it is $10 a WEEK when they could’ve in all honesty just made the app itself a cheap purchase of 1.99. what really irritates me is how they respond when people are calling this out saying “we understand if it’s a problem you can’t pay for it” meanwhile the people complaing were SUPER excited for this to come out! you could at least do a free lesson a day. if you’re looking for a similar app Sparks+ has like 3 daily lessons for FREE w different themes each day & their subscription is only 5 for a month to access everything. i wouldn’t waste my time on this app 🤷🏼‍♀️

The ad for this app was great. The second you download it. It all goes downhill. It’s not at all what it is in the ad, which is so unfortunate. There’s so much potential for this to be better micro learning but none of the effort. very unfortunate. I was very intrigued in the beginning and now that I downloaded it regret don’t get it. if I could give it a zero, I would another stupid AI app

Don’t download

The ad I was presented with on Instagram was to learn astronomy ‘like Duolingo, but for astronomy’. First of all, it’s not Duolingo at all, because you’re immediately hit with a subscription trial which isn’t even optional, so this app isn’t free. And to top it all off it’s filled with generative AI so you can’t even be bothered to hire someone to make the visuals. And everything else information wise is most likely all AI. To make things even worse, there isn’t even astronomy on here! When you get asked what subjects you want to learn, the only science subject I was given was psychology, and right after that I was told to sign up for a trial before paying £10 a week. That is robbery, who the hell is paying £10 a week for an app to learn. Like another reviewer has mentioned, do your own research, learn with Google or any other resource which is actually free. Theres a lot to improve on with this app. Here are my suggestions: get rid of your generative AI, make the trial optional and include a free version where you can still learn like Duolingo and bring people to like it but the premium version might include some extra content + advanced learning. Overall, you might have to rework the whole app for it to be more likeable.

Subscription price

If you are really dedicated and want to learn about anything the internet you used to download the app is free. So just go on a browser and search anything you’re interested in learning and read for free (or for the internet provider £ you’re already paying for) instead of paying stupid subscription amount for a rip off app as this one as only three days free trial is a joke.

Very much a scam app

They charge 10$ per week, that’s 560$ per year. Their content is not original and the paywall is a hard paywall and they don’t allow you to move forward unless you pay. Don’t download!
