Yikes
This app is a mess. I’ve been a longtime customer of GVTC and for the amount of money we pay for all of the services on our property, it would be nice to have a functioning app to rely on to turn on/off WiFi access to members of the family. It crashes all the time and is super glitchy. I will turn off wifi access to a device and never be able to turn access back on again unless I remove and rename every device again. It’s a mess. Right now it’s just spiraling saying my entire network is down, when clearly it is on and functioning.

So many problems
This app has so many problems: it won’t show all the devices that are connected, control over the WiFi is no longer working, and I am unable to remove any of the devices that are connected. It seriously needs a better update and it needs to be continuously monitored. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Does not tell you what is on your WiFi network
TV’s, cameras, other devices appear and disappear on the app when viewing my WiFi network. Devices are clearly working, but not visible on the app. Have no idea what else might be connecting to my network

This new update is terrible. It’s so slow, crashes and some functions don’t work right.

The App says it does and doesn’t recognize our email address; so I can’t login or create an account.
Just doesn’t work
Devices that are connected will randomly disappear from the devices list, and that’s only IF the app will even open. 90% of the time I get the “app unable to connect,” error and I can’t see anything.
Pointless
The app is supposed to help monitor and control which devices have WiFi. Devices will randomly disappear from the list of devices, or the entire list itself will be gone. If you’re lucky, you can actually control which devices have WiFi. 10% of the time, you can’t.
App doesn’t work and GVTC connection poor
Down multiple times randomly every week and sometimes for multiple days… call GVTC and go through basics steps that a child could perform that I already had done; to be told everything looks fine… then why is internet down.:.. so frustrating
Push notification ads
You receive push notifications for important security alerts… you also receive them for ads for other GVTC products. Terrible.
GVTC Internet change
Switched to GVTC due to buffering and outage with Spectrum.
Extremely satisfied with all GVTC services to date.

Absolutely worst app ever
App repeatedly says it is unable to connect on every screen but then says the account has been setup after you keep trying. Fix your app!!!

I like that I can be able to have control over what is connected and how many hours

Things Section Crashes App
If you try to sort the things section in any other way it immediately crashes the app. Also, the things list is limited and truncates the list of devices at 18. Please update the app to not truncate the device count and fix the sorting option.
App sliders will not work
My app sliders suddenly quit working. Now I have devices that I can not get internet access on. My son is very unhappy about is video game console being “stuck” w/o internet access. I went through GVTC and they tried everything on there end with no resolution. It seems to be an app to router issue. This app needs immediate attention! If anyone else has had this issue what resolved it?

Disappointing
[December 13th, 2021 - Updated] nice improvements of the app over the last few months. Good to see the usage per device and ability to “pause/stop”. So bumping from 1 star to 4: waiting a few more months to see if app continue to be stable. @GVTCEngineering team: continue the work, great improvements. One thing which will be a nice addition will be a view of any outages / history. Even if internet at home is busted, iPhone will continue to work on cellular plan and being able to see outages will be a plus.
[original review] Just recently signed up for GVTC : technician that came was great but the app to manage wifi is just bad! If you try to see any of the device connected to your network, good luck since the app just crash EVERYTHING single time. GVTC fix that ASAP : looks like it is a well know problem but you guys don’t bother fixing it.
