Missing app features
I cannot see my ad after I posted it. I spent time describing the issue but after it’s booked I can’t see it. Also, there’s no way to send photos or videos. The vendor called me to ask what task I needed which makes me think that even the vendors don’t have access to the posting.
It would be helpful to have a place to view the posting and then use a thread to chat about it with the vendor.

Horrible Customer Service
I booked handy in hopes of having a quickly fix for a sink problem I was having. First “plumber” didn’t complete any work and was still charged and had to dispute it with customer service. Then I rebooked it myself switch another plumber and somehow after everything was confirmed the customer service reps rescheduled the appointment to a different day. Save yourself the headache and go through a legitimate plumbing/professional service.

Subscription!!
I wanted to hire to get my apartment cleaned but it’s a recurring subscription plan with no ability to just schedule ad hoc. I used handy before so I’m not sure when this changed but it’s annoying because I was fine hiring people through here. I guess not now
Don’t use handy for things that required certifications
For lower skill requires tasks handy is fine. But you rely on the assigned “pro” to show up on time. The pro in the app can say they are coming but can show up whenever and you have no re course. For electrical and plumbing work go with actual companies. The “pros” are often just handy men who say they can do electrical or plumbing work. I just wasted on 250 on an electrical job where the pro showed up 145 late and it was clear outside of replacing an outlet he didn’t know what to do. Did not fix the issue , And I have no way getting my money back.

I have used this spot many times for furniture assembly, and all the technicians have been excellent. The ability to schedule, reschedule, Wright reviews has been super easy.

Horrible, Unreliable Service
Never use them for cleaning! They confirm you appointment but apparently if they don’t have anyone to claim your cleaning job request they cancel at the last minute (in an hour) and won’t refund you. They’ll only give you credit. Unreliable and untrustworthy!
App hasn't been updated in well over a decade.
Despite the app looking archaic and like nobody has thought to update this in a decade, I went ahead and gave Handy a try again. The pro didn't show. The app stopped allowing me to be able to text them, and all my messages just got rejected. When you try to cancel, they try to charge you the full amount, even though the pro was an hour late and I had to jump through so many hoops in order to be able to get them to actually just refund. Stay a million miles away. This thing is a mess, and nobody has bothered to invest in or care for this app or this community one iota.

I’m frustrated with the app, I am requesting my pro, who I know is available because we are messaging one another through the app, and Handy keeps booking me with someone else. I’m having to reschedule over and over just to get my pro.

Worst customer service.
Appointment was canceled 1 hour prior to arrival time. Then rescheduled without even talking to me. I was not give a for sure anwser if the new time and date would happen. I took off work for this appointment. I was credited a pathetic $10 for the inconvenience. I will never use this app or there sister app Angi. Which I was unaware were connected. Very disappointed.

Terrible Communication
When my pro came, I missed the message saying “I am here”. They never tried calling or texting me and just left. Refused to give me a refund. Second time, cleaner never came and tried to redirect me off the app. Then, I explained we needed to stay on the app and they became unresponsive. Very stressful service for people who don’t have time to clean their own place.
