Good Concept

Good Concept, poor execution. Good idea to incorporate photos of foods that you eat. The photo integrity awful. I took a picture of fries on a car seat, but the result shows the car’s shifter; that’s over a foot of distance between those two items. It is not my camera, it is only with this app that images are skewed. Every picture I try to take shows an object off to the side. This occurs regardless of how close or far I am from the food. I take 6 to 8 photos just to get one usable photo. If you don’t take a photo, then you have only a generic image of a plate for reference. This app has no instructions. There is a stat counter which can be useful, but it should be part of the food you are logging, not just listed in a separate screen. A small number on a plate can indicate how many times you have logged that food.

I have ARFID and am autistic. I will keep using this app for a few months to see if it is effective for me.
