Horrible app !! No customer service

We were forced by our restaurant to use this dumb app , not only do they charge you .75 for every direct deposit (mind you we get tips everyday so that .75 a day )… half of the people who chose to use their banking system are going on now a week and still haven’t Received their money . On top this huge issue (nationwide from what I understand) they have the nerve to be closed for the weekend . Meanwhile we have no money to survive the week ! Unbelievable and completely Unprofessional

Horrible

This is quite possibly the worst banking app I’ve been forced to have. It never works, cards are EASILY hack able (it will take 40 days to get your money back by the way), cards randomly lock so if you have an important purchase there’s a chance it WILL decline. Absolutely hate it, never called customer service so much in my life until this app.

horrible banking app

been two months and i still can’t transfer my money out of this god forsaken “banking” app. if your employer is making the switch to this, just put in your notice it isn’t worth messing with at all.

Shiny but useless

Alright, let me tell you something about this bank app. It’s like a hog at a county fair shiny and fancy, but you’ve got to wrestle with it to get anything done. Signing in was a chore, took me three tries and a few choice words. Once I finally got in, the dang thing lagged worse than a coon dog on a hot day.

Deposits work okay, I guess, if you can figure out which button to push. But transferring money? Might as well be spitting in the wind. I tried sending twenty bucks but it charges a dollar every transaction.

Customer service? Might as well holler into a rain barrel. They don’t answer the phone any quicker than a rattlesnake strikes. When they finally did, they talked so fancy I could hardly understand them.

I’ll give them this – the app looks pretty. All those bright colors and fancy icons make you feel like you’re sitting in a highfalutin’ city bank. But don’t be fooled, it’s about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

In the end, if you’ve got to use it, bring a jug of moonshine and a whole lot of patience. You’re going to need it.

Manager Friendly and Employee Hostile

Does as much as possible to be as non-transparent as possible with employees trying to access their paychecks

Forced Banking

It should be illegal to force service workers to have our money paid into a checking account no one asked for. It should also be illegal to make the service workers pay fees to have money they earned put into their real checking accounts. This whole company is a fraud and all I can recommend is to not let them vulture a dime from you. Make sure you don’t use this as your functional bank account or there will be a time when your money is not available. On top of everything listed, they also do not even have a customer service number to call. I’m now waiting “for a few hours” on a response as to why I cannot pull $2500 out of my account. I cannot wait until the day this company is driven into the ground.

Unable to transfer money

I’m unable to transfer my money from this haus account to an external debit card. It won’t allow me to type in a $ amount, therefore I can’t get my money. I’ve had nothing but trouble with this app.

Problems after Update

I still can’t use my TipHaus app after updating it. It still says “update app” to continue, but it’s already updated.

Where to even begin?

This app changed my life. I feel Underpaid and overworked. Every 60 seconds a minute in africa passes by. Blows hot hard moose cream

Worst tip app

They charge you a fee for transferring your money to your bank. They also give you a limit for how much you can withdraw. You also don’t get taxes taken out so your taxes at the end of the year are going to cost you. This app is trashed and it’s only purpose is to steal money from industry people.

Too many fees!

Not only fact fees 0.75 per hundred.. on top deductions to payroll and taxes..

Alternative transfer fees?

Overall, this app does what it is designed to, though parts of the UI were not intuitive in the way that one might hope.
My least favorite part is paying a .75% transfer fee if you want to get the money you worked for moved to a separate bank account. 75 cents on every $100 doesn’t sound bad, but when you do the math it’s easily more than $200 a year in “fees” that are being paid. (Someone transferrring $600 a week would come out to $218 a year, last I checked). Would prefer an option to only withdraw once a week or every other week for a reduced fee. Less transactions for you all to process, so it should be cheaper. I understand the employer could pay a premium to remove this feature, so this could be changed, this is only a means for the hausmoney company to profit. I understand they need to make money too, but it is incredibly frustrating as an restaurant worker to go from leaving at night with cash, to having most of my money become digital, and I have to pay an extra fee to access my money (that I worked for) if I don’t want to use their debit card.
I was initially on the fence about them withholding 25% of tips for tax purposes, but this has been mostly a non-issue for me. My above gripe is certainly my biggest issue with the current system. Would be thrilled to have more transfer options to reduce fees.

I think it’s a great application

I’ve been using this for a while now. It’s not perfect, but definitely better than the alternative. I’ve definitely seen them make improvements, so they are listening. Isn’t that what you really want from any company?

I especially like the physical and virtual cards, I don’t have to worry about losing the card and not being able to spend.

Thanks for sharing your voice to your experience, beardofknowledge. It definitely helps our hausmoney app users see how the experience is working for others in the tip-earning community. Curious - if you could change one thing that would make your experience even better, what would it be?

Horrible customer service

I haven’t been able to access my money for over a week now, support reached out to me instantly at first and solved one problem, but I still couldn’t access my money so I reached back out and I am not getting any replies!! It’s been DAYS, I’ve put in a help request, sent emails, I’ve called and no answer. I’ve been going on a wild goose chase trying to get a hold of these people. I just want my money.

gprwb, we sincerely apologize for the difficulties you experienced in reaching our Experience Team. We are major advocates and champions to your experience - we are always diligently working to ensure that response times are prompt and efficient for all tip-earning community app users. Hopefully it helps to understand the team is active during the hours of Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM Central Standard Time. So, if you happen to reach out to us outside of these days and hours you most likely won't get an instant response, but we do connect back pretty darn fast! And, you also mentioned you weren't able to access your money. We take accessing your hard-earned tips as a top priority because we are also hausmoney app users and know the impact to accessing money has on livelihoods. Once we were able to look into this issue for you it became more evident your management hadn't issued your tip-earnings, yet. I can see how this may have not been obvious for you. But, we are happy you were eventually paid by your employer and able to get your tip earnings :) We are always here to help, gprwb - keep doing great things in serving your customers and we will continue to bring our best towards your experience with us!

Hausmoney app

This is the worst app ever. Customer support takes days to contact you back, even if you dont remember your username or password there’s not an option to change it immediately. They also take 25% of your tips for taxes and they don’t make it optional. Transfering your money to your bank will take 2 business days after they charge you a fee. They have a lot of improvement to do

We appreciate your valuable feedback and the opportunity to work with you directly to improve your experience with us. Your comments have shed light on some important aspects of your initial experience, which we believe will help us serve the tip-earning community using hausmoney, better. Regarding your username and password, we take the security of our customers' accounts very seriously. While we understand that forgetting a username can be frustrating, we handle username retrieval requests through direct communication with our team to ensure the utmost protection of your money and accounts. On the other hand, you can reset your password anytime on your own through the mobile app. You mention we withhold taxes on your tip earnings. Actually, we do not withhold taxes from your tip earnings - your employer decides if they will do this. We advise you to have a conversation with your employer about any concerns you may have related to tax withholdings. Finally, we offer the option to transfer money out of your hausmoney account and into a different bank account, although there is currently a fee. We are actively working on offering more transfer options to better serve you all - look for information on this to come out soon! annyevil, your voice and feedback on your experience honestly matters - we use this to adjust where we can serve you and our hausmoney community even better. We appreciate you and hope we can only make your experience better from here!

So far, good

I have been using the app now for about a month. Spending is easy with both my debit card and virtual card. Like the spending behavior insights. Can’t wait to see where the app will go from here!
