No brokerage plan purchase option nor its validity (poor app feature’s)

The app does show any option to purchase a brokerage plan nor it is validity upon raising a ticket the team did their best but i believe it is the app developer or backend team who are not able to provide such basic facilities compare this with kotak neo a bank broker just like hdfc or a new age broker like up stocks i am not writing this to raise a ticket but to highlight sky has been updated several times for better i hope it does this time also but it is really disappointing to hear that if app shows you an option on the screen then your good enough to select or get details of plan and format of which p and L statements given is very complex please check other discount brokers who providing those details with in better manner please take this has a feed back and not has complaint or ticket to reopen cause i don’t want here the same thing i hopes things get updated !!

Don’t trust this broker

They deduct money & they won’t tells us for what reason they deducted. It’s hard to find the reason. After some hard effort you will find that your money was deducted for transaction charges even though you didn’t do any transactions. And one more thing they said, “according to your plan you are not charged for investing in ETFs”. Some months later app shows me brokerage charges for ETF investments. What is my situation If I was invested, I have to pay charges. They make false promises to attract more customers. So I am stopped using it.

Worst experience a customer could have with any brand!

Hello team,

I decided to open an account yesterday with HDFC sky, but due to personal reasons I immediately closed that account. Now, a sales rep from your hdfc securities team, ahmedabad branch called me asking why I did that. When I said it was due to personal reasons, she started arguing with me that how can a customer immediately open and close an account and started to force me to try the app for 1 month. Is this what sales mean to you guys? Do you train your sales rep to argue with customers?? Isn’t it on a customer to decide when he wants to open and close an account(that’s why the account closing option is there on the app right??)

Do you even think I will even think of going for a hdfc savings account leave alone hdfc securities in the near future??

Like your sales rep was literally arguing with me to understand why I started opening an account and closing it immediately and her tone was also too high.

I don’t want to reveal any name nor I want to escalate this to any social media account. But I want an escalation to this.

I never ever expected something like this from a brand like HDFC which I had always hold in high ideal as a brand.

Please teach your sales team to value current and prospective customers equally.

Scope for Improvement in Pricing, Insights & UI Experience

While HDFC SKY shows potential as an investment platform, there are several critical areas that need attention:

🔹 Pricing is on the higher side, especially when compared to newer competitors offering low or zero brokerage models. A more competitive fee structure would enhance its appeal significantly.

🔹 The UI is very basic and lacks intuitiveness. It feels outdated and does not offer the level of insight or interactivity that today’s investors expect.

🔹 A key gap is the absence of in-depth portfolio analysis. The app should provide insights like sector-wise allocation, exposure to small/mid/large-cap stocks, and risk categories. Currently, it offers little visibility into investment patterns.

🔹 In the portfolio screen, the placement of current value vs. invested value is confusing — a simple repositioning or better labeling would improve readability.

🔹 The app allows investment in international indices, but oddly, it doesn’t provide a way to view or track those indices.

🔹 For ETFs, while investment is enabled, it’s disappointing that users can’t see the underlying companies or index composition, which is essential for transparency.

✅ That said, the one strong point of the app is its Research Insights section, which is well-curated and genuinely helpful for both beginners and seasoned investors.

Margin not provided

Its totaly bad service from the big name hdfc sky ….
I have angel one and dhan app i have never issue with margin
And in hdfc they dont provide sufficient margin and app glitch happen when execute order
Totaly waste of time

Why need background app refresh ????

I don’t need to allow background app refresh why it’s asking again and again?? Chart was working perfectly bit when u start asking background app refresh its not responsive when I don’t allow background app refresh,
I trade on the other platforms also not any of them asked for it why you need it desperately??

Very poor App

This app doesn’t work outside of India as it’s blocked the transaction as per the local county time zone though market is open in India. When concerned is raised to support team they responded back below which is laughable - how a person will set his mobile time zone to Indian country outside india🤣

“Please note if you are accessing HDFC Sky trading platform from outside India. Kindly setup your device / mobile timing as Indian time zone then you can be able to place order during Indian market hours.”

Unable to Buy or sell Post update

Unable to buy or sell any stock post app updates. It is defaults to AMO option. There is no way to buy or sell any stock plus no option to enter Tpin. They are directly rejecting the order without giving correct reason. Waste of time with HDFC sky app.

Selfie option not working

I have tried to update selfie image and it not worth to update and it’s waste of time.

Good customer support but The app UI experience leaves much to be desired

The UI was better earlier. Now with new features addition, the elements are all disorganised and UI experience is bad. There are much better designed apps in the market. Even under the same house, the new Investright app is redesigned in a much better way than sky. Please improve the UI interface design which is the first layer of interaction any user will engage with.

Scam fraud app

I humble request to everyone guys do not download this fraud app because I bought one etf sensex that same day down 100% showing in app but originally not I already 5 times email to company but no one response back.

Third Class Customer Support

I have sent atleast 50 emails for not able to change linked Bank Account. Everytime auto generated reply comes and still not found the solution! On call also they give diplomatic answers and no proper solution.

I love the warning prompt great color of something went wrong

Everyday I log into make some trades and I’m greeted with “Something went wrong”. You would expect the biggest bank in India to have a subpar app but why should they? Please don’t say reach out to xyz email for support fix your app and fix the servers in the back to actually work. Horrible experience!!!

Selfie doesn’t work properly

Selfie doesn’t work properly tryed for two days

Not so good app

This app solves the basic purpose of trading on daily basis but missing with some features , very basic user experience and sometimes data doesn’t show up properly. Suddenly your partial or entire portfolio of MG & shares gets disappeared for sometime. Not so user friendly as that of other hdfc securities apps. Need to work on experience and usability of app so everything works well. The stocks which are temporarily on hold for trading will not be shown in portfolio, usually it must remain visible in portfolio but disabled for trading (buy sell buttons disabled) and not completely hidden from portfolio makes user confused if he has it in portfolio or not

Allotment of IPO was not reflected even after deduction from ban account

Dear HDFC SKY team, let me get this into your notice, even having a big brand name and coffers of investment backing, hdfc sky is incapable of providing customer grievance on the spot to customer is such money and investment matters, there is no mode of communication. let me show you with proofs that i have invested into two lots of ARKADE IPO and money is deducted by upi app and bank too, but still that is not reflecting on your app. please go through screenshot and let me know who will be held responsible for this that even after deduction if the allotment status will be null and void in investor perspective.

Worst app if compared to groww

Even trainee engineer can build better ap than this. Literally i am doing everything in GROWW and then buying shares in HDFC SKY. watch list is limited, portfolio showing 0.00, when buy/sell stocks not updated on time, share prices chart shows 0.00 many times, chart takes too much time to display. I can't believe that biggest bank like HDFC can hire this kind of in competence developer team??? And new app like groww can hire good developers?? Something really HEFC management need to think upon.

No a User friendly app

1. The app says if you request withdrawal before 1 PM you get money same day that doesn’t happen.
2. The OTM options are not shown properly.
3. The watchlist is so bad that we can’t divide it according to our sectors and see those stock in that list, currently they are showing all stock in one page with some tags that may distinguish between the sectors. IT IS FRUSTRATING AND IRRITATING like how the biggest bank of india made a trading app so that is not user friendly.
4. The main screen or the landing page on app show watchlist of nifty 500 you cannot change again to any other list.
