Channels, Take turns: one person talks at a time. Everyone sees who is talking in large type, and a queue shows who is next. Anyone can type instead of talking, and you can set each person's volume. Captions at a glance: the newest words show in the Dynamic Island, on the Lock Screen and on Apple Watch, and captions keep running with the phone locked. You can hide the words in Settings. Catch me up: on iPhones with Apple Intelligence, a short summary of the conversation, made on the device. On iOS 26, captions use Apple's newer on-device speech engine, made for long conversations. Hearing aids that aren't Made for iPhone: HearAura can now find LE Audio hearing aids and earbuds nearby and connect to them itself. iPhone asks you to pair, then you join broadcasts as usual. Find it on the Listen tab. Which hearing aids work? A new page explains the three kinds of Bluetooth hearing devices and how to tell which you have. Hearing programs: with LE Audio hearing aids that support it, switch your aids' programs from the Listen tab. Help videos: six short, silent videos with every word on screen explain Auracast, pairing and joining a broadcast. Find them in Settings. Device check: a new screen tells you in plain language what your hearing aids can actually do, and it works with no broadcast anywhere nearby. Open it from the Listen tab. Volume and mute now keep working when the phone is locked and pocketed. HearAura holds the connection to your hearing aids in the background, so the controls on your Apple Watch stay live during a broadcast. Diagnostics: Settings now shows the crash and performance reports iOS keeps on your iPhone, so you can send them to support if you ever need to. Nothing is sent automatically, ever. Also fixed: joining a channel could stall when a previous channel had just ended, a dismissed demo kept running in the background, and leaving a channel could leave the old room code on screen.
