Rubbish. Doesn't actually do ANYTHING?
App crash in the middle of workout when the Sleep Schedule of Health kicked in.
App halted counting time and then crashed in the middle of workout when the Sleep Schedule of Health kicked in. Although the data was written back to the Fitness app, I had to start the app again to and start a new workout to continue recording my session.
Junk
Does not connect to iPhone so you can’t record workouts
Duplicate workouts
Creates duplicate workouts every time in apple fitness. App on watch also laggy sometimes and buttons don’t work.
Asks for Apple Health permissions every time. Not usable any more.
Since a couple of weeks (maybe Watch OS11?), on starting the watch app it asks for Apple Health permissions, twice! Then when the app is stopped and started next time it always asks again (twice).
In Apple health on the iPhone no matter how many times you give permission to read and write heart rate data it toggles the permissions off again when using the watch app.

Unusable app since last update
Doesn’t work any more since last update… I’ve bought my WYUR more than 100€ only three months ago. I’m very upset!
Apple Watch not supported
I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 17 and an Apple Watch Ultra 2. Heartbeatz connect can’t find the Runn. If I didn’t have an old Garmin watch to pair, the Runn would be mostly useless. Such a shame
So buggy it doesn’t work
The duration shown on the Apple Watch does not reset from workout to workout - it just keeps running. So, a two hour walk this morning was recorded by the app as over 7 hours long! This also resulted in incorrect distance walked since the app calculates distance by multiplying duration and speed. So a 6km walk was recorded as over 20km!!
Secondly, the app writes data to Apple Health 10 times every second with most entries recorded at 0m distance travelled. Very wasteful consuming unnecessary space in the Apple Health database.
I have reported this to the developers and hope that a fix is released soon.

Can’t remove writing on iPhone
I use the app to connect my Apple Watch to my garmin edge bike computer but I can’t disable the writing from the heartbeatz app to apple health. So I have all my activities twice. One from garmin and one from heartbeatz. As soon as I only allow heartbeatz to read from apple health, it doesn’t work anymore and the app and Apple Watch are unable to show heart rate.

Watch battery drain
Kills the watch battery even when not running.
Counts Double Workouts
I downloaded this app because I added the Runn treadmill sensor to my treadmill. Since Apple workout won’t read the data from Runn, I used this app on my Apple Watch to record my workout. It reads all the data correctly from the Runn and uses my heart rate from the Watch. The problem? After the workout is complete, it records double the miles I actually ran in Apple Fitness. North Pole support says it’s a bug that will be fixed in the next version. Been waiting since mid February. If they can fix this bug, I’ll give it 5 stars. Does everything I want…except the double counting.
I know the Runn is outputting correct data because I can use it with the Kinomap app and it does not count double mileage.

Works but initial connection can be flaky
The app works well on the watch once connected to Wyur. However I find I need to shutdown the app on the watch after each use otherwise it will not reconnect on next use. Going into app history on the mobile and closing it so that it starts fresh again solves the connnection issues but it is a very annoying extra step that should not be required. If this issue was fixed I would give it 5 stars.

Terrible
I started my run today, and it immediately jumped to three minutes from zero. It also doubled my running distance. This isn't ideal for tracking my fitness.
Works great with my Apple Watch 7
I’ve been using this app for some time now with the WYUR to connect my Apple Watch heartrate to my Garmin Edge and Zwift (via the Wahoo Rollr smart trainer). Its been faultless. Also I was very pleased to see the ability to add Heartbeatz as a complication on my watch a while back, as that makes starting up so easy. NPE support has been excellent as well, when I found it hard to locate a UK source of the WYUR (you can get it on Amazon now though).

Full of bugs
Ok, this app does transmit HR from Apple Watch to Zwift via the Runn sensor. That is the end of the good news.
Recording workouts with npe Runn does not work. You cannot swipe for different metrics to show, you need to use the crown. Time and BPM are always there. The timer is not the time elapsed since the start of the run, maybe since the last software restart instead. The distance written to Apple Health is about double (in my case), maybe the last two runs, what do I know. In short - you cannot use it to track runs with Apple Watch and the Runn sensor. Saving the workout requires luck, apparently as the save button does not work reliably. Disappointed.

Been using it for two years….
….. without an issue. Does what it says. I use it as my HRM while cycling.
Where did it go wrong!?
Used this for my Apple Watch to record treadmill runs with a Runn. The previous version wasn’t great but it did the job. Due to illness, I’ve not used it for a while and it updated to this version. The past few times I’ve used it, by the end of my run, I’ve apparently run ‘minus’ XX-km! How can it even record a negative distance!? This time (prompting me to write a review!) the device connected, I started a new run and the timer was already up at over 10 minutes. Restarted the app and again, the same 10+ mins appears on the clock! I’ve just uninstalled and reinstalled, so hope that fixes it, but that shouldn’t be required!

It works well but the business model is rotten
So you spend £60 on a very simple BLE to ANT+ converter… and then you have to subscribe to keep the thing working to use it with anything other than NPE devices. I am not even sure NPE make any other devices!
This device has one purpose and an app that sends one number out using the simplest protocol known to man (ANT+).
And you have to subscribe. It’s outrageous.

What happened?!!!
I used to be able to connect all the time and all the sudden with Heartbeatz 2.0 I can’t get my Heartbeatz device to connect to my phone or my watch! Very frustrating!
Update is crap
With the new update the watch's functionality to "Start workout" disappeared. Thus the App needs to stay in foreground to broadcast the heart rate. You cannot start any other app, including the watch workout app, to log your workout. So, either you broadcast HR - or - you track your workout. You cannot do both, anymore. I have no benefits when using the app.
