Vision is there.

Unfortunately does not work with Magene 606v2 or 506se for now but the vision is there

Does not work on Edge 840

Spent the entire free trial week to make it work and never connected. I'd like a refund.

Worked a couple time

It worked a couple times then it is no longer showing heart rate. Bluetooth connects fine, but no heart rate show up on my watch and phone. I checked Apple Watch heart rate app, it’s fine. Not sure where else to check

With Garmin 1050 only allows HRM or phone connection

Unfortunately with my new Garmin 1050 I can only get the HRM or Phone connection (notifications, live tracking, weather, etc). Not both 👎

Great workaround, couldn’t get it working.

Tried to get this working with Garmin edge. The garmin connected without much headache, but I could never get HR to actually push to the computer.

My watch would show my heart rate, and record a workout, but the phone app never seemed to get into a state that would grab it and push it to the computer.

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately, not all Garmin Edge models are compatible and most require a specific procedure to follow. Please check this: https://dominikmaglia.com/hrm-app-user-guide/#device-compatibility Best regards, Dominik

FAQ

What does the HRM Heart Rate Monitor app do?

This app allows you to use your Apple Watch's heart rate sensor to transmit data to compatible cycling computers via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). It acts as a bridge, sending your heart rate from your wrist to your bike computer without requiring any extra hardware like a chest strap.

What are the key features of this app?

The app's main features include connecting your Apple Watch's heart rate sensor over BLE, sending this data to any BLE-equipped bike computer, and working seamlessly with your iPhone without needing to carry it. It also reads data from the Health app and provides a simple, reliable alternative to traditional heart rate monitoring solutions.

How much does the HRM Heart Rate Monitor app cost?

This is a paid app that requires a subscription. However, it offers a seven-day free trial period. If you decide not to continue after the trial, you can cancel before it ends to avoid being charged.

What devices is the HRM Heart Rate Monitor app compatible with?

The app is compatible with almost any BLE-equipped bike computer. You can find an up-to-date compatibility list on the developer's website at https://dominikmaglia.com/hrm-app-user-guide/#device-compatibility. It requires installation on both your Apple Watch and your iPhone to function.

Can I use my Apple Watch heart rate data for other fitness activities?

While this app specifically focuses on transmitting heart rate data to cycling computers, it reads your heart rate data from the Health app. Your heart rate data is stored securely within the Health app, which can be used for various other fitness tracking purposes on your Apple Watch and iPhone.
