It doesnât even let me sign in!
Scam
It seems odd that you pay a lot for the calendar that then wants you to subscribe to use its features. Seems like the price point of the calendar should come down significantly if they want to charge you monthly/annually just to use it. We have used basic features on ours because I refuse to get into another scam.

Helpful family calendar
This app is overall helpful in keeping our family organized and we like our huge hearth calendar screen it pairs with. However it is not the greatest. App. It is a little clunky and not the easiest to use. I also wish it offered widgets to display the calendar or to do list on the iPhone or iPad.
Needs more functionality
The app works, but lacks a lot of the functionality you see in other calendar apps. For example, being able to set multiple alerts for the same event. The âAdd Locationâ option is also missing a lot of locations. I can add a specific address by typing it out manually, but searching for a business directly by name is surprisingly lacking.
What would make this app most useful for me is the addition of a widget. I mostly use widgets on my phone for my most commonly used apps. I can see the calendar information in the Apple calendar app, but there is no easy way to open up an event directly to edit it in the Hearth app.

App leaves desires
Features like widgets, smart voice event creation, Alex skill enablement and google home compatibility are some features I would love to see incorporated in such a paid application. Hearth Companion App needs a search function for added events, tasks and appointments to be able to search through current and future months.

Needs a few more features
I absolutely love my Hearth Display! A few things I would love to see added as feature: the ability to fill the date with desired color, the ability to add birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries for friends/family, and a default setting for the view (ex. calendar, day, week, agenda). I still love my calendar, but I would love it even more with these added features.

Needs a Widget!
I do love our Hearth. Something that can improve the appâplease provide a widget that gives you a weekly view. That would be SO helpful instead of having to open up the app every time. With a widget my week can just sit out, for me to see every time I open my phone.
I canât delete a profile?
Deleting a profile should be so easy but the fact I need to contact support to delete a profile is burdensome.
Vast Unmet Potential!!
I am very underwhelmed by my Hearth Display. It lacks creativity and obvious features any tech product in 2025 should have.
1. It does not make sounds of any kind. No alarms. No reminders. It canât set times and you canât talk to it like other âai helpers.â Very disappointing. The Hearth cannot be a central part of our lifestyle if we must continue using our other tech for these most basic functions.
2. There are almost no display customization options. No dark mode. No way to view widgets of its functions on a Home Screen. The display doesnât even âknowâ that it shouldnât show all the empty space from midnight to 8 am if itâs EMPTY. It shouldnât make me scroll down to awake hours to see if anything is on the calendar.
3. No add on widgets which could be fun - like a vocab word of the day or an AI powered âdaily briefingâ which could be verbally given aloud in addition to visually. Even the weather forecast is the most basic unhelpful information ever. You canât actually use it to check the weather as there is no hourly forecast, humidity, uv index, etc.
4. There is no âtoddler modeâ
5. No user identification to stop siblings from messing with each other. There is a camera. Letâs get faceID rolled out.
6. While weâre on the camera - letâs get video calling set up!
6. Part of the appeal of a wall display is that it is NOT a smartphone. Unfortunately you will still need to use your smartphone for everything that is actually useful, because those features are not available on the display.

A Game-Changer for Family Organization
Hearth has made coordinating our familyâs moving pieces so much easier. I love the clean layout, color-coding, and quick remindersâeveryone knows where they need to be and when. Adding events is simple, and the shared view keeps us aligned without a dozen texts. Itâs genuinely reduced our stress and helped us protect time for what matters.

Overly expensive
We have owned the hearth for a year now, and truly have enjoyed it. Our subscription is up in September so we decided to cancel it since itâs 84$ a year. In this economy we just donât have that. Because of canceling we cannot do any of the basic stuff. Like the to dos.
For the price of it and the lack of âperksâ I can honestly say I regret buying this. Such a waste of money and scam.

Customizable Homescreen Widget Please!
Would love a widget option for a quick overview of the day without needing to open the app!
My kids love it!
My kids love this display and it helps motivate them to do tasks and gives them a helpful visual of their activities. Some of the interfaces are a little cumbersome still but confident those will be worked out in time.
Love it!
We love the Hearth especially being a busy family. The kids also love the upgrade for their chores and lists.
Life saver for busy families
We love our Hearth display. Everything is visible to the whole family and we can update directly from our phones. We use it to track schedule, chores, grocery lists and meal plans. Hearth helper automatically adds items to the calendar from images which is fantastic. We have 3 active kids and 2 working parents, so this has been an essential tool for us. I recommend it all the time to people. I also appreciate all the new features that theyâre adding.

Expensive calendar display
I had such high hopes for this item. And like many others itâs the most expensive frame thatâs just hung on our wall. It hasnât been used in almost a year. Without the premium subscription the only thing it does is display a calendar. Itâs supposed to make family function easier but only if you pay to create lists? All the premium features are just basic features you would think is part of the product.
And now with it only being mobile. Itâs even more of an inconvenience. I have to control everything from a small screen.

Excellent Family Calendar!
Love the Hearth calendar, switched from Skylight about 6 months ago and have no regrets! My kids (14, 12, 10, 9âall boys) love being able to easily see what chores and routines need to be done, and check them off to earn privileges. Everything is super customizable to individual preferences. The only downside so far is that I canât seem to add an event for more than one person (i.e. the entire family) on everyoneâs calendar view from Google calendar, as it syncs individual calendar.

Helpful Tool
We have had the Hearth Display and the Companion app/subscription for a little over a year. Overall, Iâd say that itâs a wonderful tool for helping to manage a busy family of four! In the past year they have consistently rolled out helpful updates and fixed bugs. We love the calendar, routines, and shared lists. The AI helper is great to help import paper invites and calendars quickly. I definitely recommend this to friends and look forward to using the product and app for years to come!

Great Family Planner
Managing 4 kids school and sports schedules is so much easier now! Everyone has their color and can look to see the week ahead. The favorite tab for everyone though is the meal planning tab. No more answering the âwhat are we having for dinner?â question! The reward system for chores and routines has really helped take the mental load off me as the working parent too.

Love it but needs some improvement
We love our hearth, the entire family uses it multiple times a day on a daily basis.
Hereâs what I love and what i wish would improve (Iâve actually shared this feedback with their team but none of this has been implemented thus far):
- Meal planning is super helpful, but I wish there was a way to have an archive of your go-to meals and their corresponding recipes that you can look through and choose from when planning your meals. A notes section would help too for when you try a new recipe but want to jot down some notes about it, or if you tried it already and want to note what youâd do differently next time perhaps.
- Routines are the main thing my kids use, theyâve been great and are removing some of my mental load. However, I really dislike that you can see all the various routines of the day even if theyâre not âactiveâ. For example, the bedtime routine should only SHOW UP at bedtime. Otherwise it feels overwhelming at times for my children too see a bunch of routines all at the same time.
Additionally, Iâd love to be able to put an end time to routines so that thereâs urgency to get it done by a certain time. So if I have a morning routine, for instance, I donât want my kid to be doing it at 4 pm.
- I love that I can display a picture of my family while the hearth isnât in use. But would love it even more if it had a slideshow option so I can see more than just one picture.
Overall, I truly do love my hearth and its corresponding app. But there are just minor tweaks that they can do that would make me that much more satisfied with it.
