Developer should update instructions, this is why so many of the reviews are poor. You have to download the app from the watch not iPhone, then you’ll be able to activate it after giving permissions.
Doesn’t appear anywhere after downloading
I’ve looked on my phone and watch and can’t find this app, despite having just paid $2.99. I can’t even find the app on the App Store without a direct link!
Great heart rate app
Great simple presentation of data, this is well worth the couple of £ to show a plot of high-low and current heart rate.
Works perfectly on series 6 watch with iPhone X
I’m almost certain that all the negative reviews are due to user error or poor instructions from the developer. All you need, and all you can do by the way, is to add heartrate++ as a complication in the watch face selector. It doesn’t show up anywhere else as it’s own app. It works great, but just a little more polish and direction from the developer could make it a hit on the App Store.

Requesting a refund
Like the previous reviewer, bought the app but it will not download to phone or watch. Will be requesting a refund.

Up to date compilation
This is the first app I know which can provide an up to date complication of your heart rate. I can clearly recommend it!
However it can still be improved:
The hearth rate history graph is cut off and you need to keep scrolling to see it fully. Seems like the top bar with the time is not considered in the design (4-6 series).
The gauge is moving to the lowest value in the complication if a heart rate is shown which is higher than the last maximum noted value.

Installed OK
Apple Watch now allows the installation of watch apps with no corresponding iPhone app.
Upon purchasing I was able to open this app from the watch, which was needed to authorize health data access.
After this I was able to select the complication on my home screen. It appears to work as expected.

Would not download onto WatchOS7

Heart rate reading on the wrist. Simple and accurate.
No app downloaded
Paid for app but did not download from either App Store, so paid for app that I don’t have and can’t download... wasted money.

I would think that such a basic deficiency as the initial download would be top priority for a developer to resolve. Even the workaround was not successful.
I would love to love this app as it sounds like it may give me what I have been looking for.

Not visible on Apple Watch 5 Series
Just purchased this app but it is not visible on my Apple Watch 5 Series.

Sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused, this issue seems to be caused by a bug in WatchOS 6, try to download directly from the App Store app on your Apple Watch, if it doesn’t work search for HeartRate++ on the App Store app on your iPhone and try to install it from there.

I absolutely love The complication but it stopped updating.

No longer works...
Worked great for a couple weeks but then the complication stopped updating for some reason. I uninstalled the app then reinstalled it and now the complication won’t show any data at all.

downloaded. installed. but no complications
i’ve downloaded it. i installed it. but it doesn’t appear on the complications list. the whole reason i bought it was for this purpose. and the contact dev link is broken.

Please open the watch app on your iPhone and make sure the app is installed there, as the complications should automatically show up after the app is installed

Won’t download
Bought the app, says “purchased” but not downloaded anywhere in watch or phone. Went I to purchases and it isn’t in there either. I’ll give the developer 24 hours to fix the issue and then request a refund and my review will become permanent.
