I used to love this app. But now it won’t stay on to even see it. It blinks info and then goes blank. Thought of paying for it but others who have paid have same problem

Ads made this app difficult to use, so I paid $6.99 and the app fails to load data. I’ve tried restating the app, uninstalling and reinstalling, waiting a few minutes, and it continues to preform unsatisfactory. The data will appear for a split second and then black out.

Upgrading my 2-star review to 4 stars because the latest version fixed a crash problem and also the place search. It now works well to indicate heat risk where you are or elsewhere in the US (only). Upgrade to ad-free was worth it for me.

Buggy
Wanted to like this app but it has issues. Entering cities in Alaska causes the app to crash. No matter what your city’s temperature is, even in the 60s, the heat zone shows in the “potentially dangerous” yellow range.

For some cold locations in Alaska, the National Weather Service doesn't regularly publish wet bulb temperatures, and we've updated the app to properly handle those locations. Thank you for your feedback.
Worked GREAT until a couple days ago?
This has been my go-to app for heat index/wet bulb temps — straight-forward, simple graphics, etc. But all of a sudden it “attempts” to retrieve the info but fails to provide it. I’ve done nothing different, it — just — stopped — working.

Only worked and showed values 1 of 8 times I tried to use it. In a place with a strong signal but I just got the wheel of death 7/8 times.

App was fine when I first got it. Now it never updates when asked to get latest readings. Just get the Pinwheel of Death. The app doesn’t help anyone if it doesn’t work.
