Can’t get a good scan
This used to be a decent app but now it doesn’t work and the scans look terrible.
Works but should only charge on export
I was very hesitant to pay for the app because I’ve already tried many others that did not work. I can say for a fact it works for at least my use case of getting quick and accurate scans of small objects, but the app should only charge people when they go to export because otherwise there’s no way of knowing if the app works until after you’ve paid. That way people can view their scan in the 3D viewer before deciding

Don’t waste your money
Doesn’t actually let you try the app until you buy it, can’t find a refund option and the app does not perform as expected, crashes when loading files and fails to capture obvious details.

If you want to release a paid app, just do so. Nobody likes a bait&switch.
YOU NEED TO GET THIS IF YOU HAVE AN INFARED DOT THAT COMES FROM YOUR PHONE
This app is so good because it doesn’t just need lidar because you can use the infared dot on your phone as lidar
Doesn’t work
It’s quite simple. It doesn’t work. I mean it “scans” but I can’t get an even passable scan of anything. My hand, a cup, something on the desk. Hell if it’s smaller than about an inch wide it doesn’t even show up at all. The only thing I could get it to scan ok was a blank wall.
The fact that you can’t do a single scan before it forces you to buy is a scam. This isn’t a free app. There is no trial. It’s just paying them to use it 3 times, be disappointed, and not want to deal with the refund process.

Best app for scans!
I don’t get why the reviews are so low. This is one of the best apps you can get to capture 3D scans. No adverts & you can utilise the Face ID LiDAR Scanner which is super high quality. Take the chance on this app and ignore the reviews, as I don’t feel they are justified!
Works well! But could use some small additions
The scanning quality is quite good, but I wish there was an automated point cloud fusion process after a scan. As many scans will fail part way through and you end up with ghosting,
Perfect for my needs
I needed to scan a section of my car’s center console to pull into Fusion to 3D model a modification. After trying several other apps, I found Heges because I was looking for something that could use the FaceID hardware to get me more precision that LiDAR can at the size and scale I’m working at.
I was able to use my very first scan! There is definitely a learning curve for using the front camera for non-selfies (an exterior monitor goes a long way) but that’s not the fault of the software.
Know that this isn’t going to hand you a printable thing right out of the box, but if you have the skills to work with an stl or obj mesh, this tool is solid.
Easily worth the one time payment.

Eight dollars US I don’t have. Looks promising.
I’m looking for a free option. Sad to say this looks like one of the more promising options - but as a one time payment type deal.
I have used one very similar to this before. It uses the person facing scanner than most newer iPhones have- face unlock- that more companies should be focusing on and using. Eye opening to know about.

So good
At first I was a bit disappointed at the quality of tracking while using Face ID scan but I quickly realized that Face ID scan will quickly lose tracking if you’re too far from the object. Developers should really give a notification about best distance for Face ID scan should be no longer than 12” or limit the range slider to shortest so it will have better time tracking. I’m sure a lot of reviews saying tracking is bad was due to this.
The export options are great and my favorite feature is the screen sharing with another device. Turns my phone into the scanner and my iPad into my monitor and I can get real nice scans. Glad a took a chance at this app I’m really liking it.

Horrible app
Horrible app. Terrible scanning, terrible tracking. Even when using a turntable and harsh light on a dull object. Not sure what the intention for the app is, but scanning objects is not one of them. Sorry for the bad review, but that was my experience
The first 3D scanner you should get
Very pleased with this app! The 1 time payment is less than the monthly subscription fee of other apps and it also has the best privacy policy of any 3D scanner app. It also doesn’t require an email. The scan quality is incredible for an iPhone if you follow the onscreen instructions. There’s also no useless gimmicks or advertisements in the app and the UI is simple, intuitive, and effective!
10/10, I recommend anyone looking to start 3D scanning to purchase Heges!

Great Scanner
Unfortunate that this scanner’s rating has been brought down by reviews from years ago as the app as it is today is fantastic. I was able to scan my face and import it into blender, throw on some decimate modifier and ended up with a very usable model. Great product
The best option
Love the app. Dived into the faqs and found that I could screen mirror to another device. The developer thought of everything!!! High quality scans require moving very slowly. Well worth the money.

Keine Möglichkeit, den Scan anzusehen, Front-Kamera erfasst immer das Gesicht, wenn ich zum Stop der Aufnahme das Telefon drehe, Lidar Scan ebenfalls sehr mangelhaft => höchstens zum Scan des eigenen Kopfes zu gebrauchen
