Cartoon Characters

I haven’t used the app yet. I’ll post a full review later. This review is basically a question. Why are cartoon characters used for a religious pilgrimage? This design choice infantilizes the pilgrimage. It emphasizes the “fun”, trivial, casual tourism aspect of the pilgrimage rather than the religious aspect. Is this in keeping with the content and quality of the information provided? If so, the app will be useless for me and for everyone I know. If not, it’s a wildly inappropriate design choice.
