While the camera is very good, the application is very slow and inconsistent when it comes to connecting from a short distance.
Good Camera-Horrible app
The camera is great so far, but the app is not very user friendly at all. You can only use one email per device you install the app on so if you want to use multiple phones or add an iPad, it is a pain. Using the app on an iPad is awful because the screen is the same size it would be as on your phone. My dad has vision issues so trying to show him how to navigate the app to see live view or saved video is awful. The ai recognition is horrendous but ends up being kind of funny for how bad it is. House finch lands on feeder and I’ve gotten an alert for things like a Canadian Goose or wild turkey ha ha.

Bait and Switch
No mention of subscription, without which this bird feeder is useless for all intents and purposes. Fake Amazon reviews. Avoid.
Lots of features
Good app. Allows 1080p, 2k, 4k, slow-mo recording. You can change zoom 1x-4x. AI species identification with $4.50/mo subscription. Sound feature has bird chirps to call birds, talk to camera or alarm tone to scare off squirrels. Adjustable shooting interval to control number of videos taken. Many other features to customize notifications, log number of visits by species, etc. Crystal-clear videos. Don’t understand the bad reviews, really good app.

Good and Bad
The quality of the camera is great, but the app not so much. It takes forever to connect to the camera live. Also, they recently changed the interface. When you choose Timeline to scroll videos for a particular day, you only get about 30% of the bottom of the screen to scroll. The rest of the screen is taken up by the space usage notification and dates to choose from. It makes it very difficult to scroll through the videos. You get like one and a half, maybe two at a time.

So far, over an hour trying to connect and the instructions were clearly written by someone who understands software - but not humans. Garbage.

I have been paying attention to bird feeders for a long time. Eventually, I chose this camera because of its exquisite appearance and DIY feature from Hibird. The high-definition photos and smooth video connection it presents make me feel that it's worth the money. Now, I can watch the conditions of the little birds in the backyard anytime and anywhere without disturbing them. Moreover, its battery life is also reliable, lasting up to 7 days without charging. Overall, I really like this camera. It's so cool!

Non Bird Filter
The newly launched non-bird filter function is simply amazing. It helps me filter out some irrelevant messages, making the bird-watching process much easier and more enjoyable!

I love this app for my bird feeder camera. I have been experiencing some mild glitches. When I select the AI bird category it kicks me out of the app every time.

The app is super convenient! Viewing photos and managing devices is really easy. The pictures in the album are clear,and overall,it’s just great to use!
Latest update
Not happy at all about being made to upgrade the app, only to find that you now have to pay monthly or yearly for the bird identification features after 3 “uses”. Feels like a money grab to me, especially since all the older videos which were identified are now hidden. Will not be recommending this product to others at this point.

Subscription Service?
You decide to add a subscription service AFTER my purchase in order to identify the birds by name? That’s like buying a new car, getting it home and finding out you have to purchase the engine separately! $120 yearly? Rip off!
Tolles Produkt - gute App
Die Hibird-Kamera ist sehr zu empfehlen. Großartige Video- und Fotoaufnahmen von unseren gefiederten Gästen. Über die App lassen sich der Live-View, aber auch aufgezeichnete Medien abrufen und diverse Parameter konfigurieren. Funktioniert tadellos! Zusätzlich gibt es eine hilfreiche Erkennung der Vogelarten mit unerwartet guter Trefferquote.
Wünschen würden wir uns noch eine Übersicht, zB pro Tag, welche Vogelarten zum Futtern kamen, um etwaige neue Gäste auf einen Blick zu sehen.

Select all
Would be nice to have a “select all” option for deleting pictures and videos. I’m a new user and don’t like having to select each one to delete.
Needs more features
It’s cool it notifies you when there is a bird and tells you the type of bird however you can only turn notifications off or on. I should be able to mute notifications for different species. Also there is no searching or filtering so now after 1 day I have 200 videos of almost all the same type of bird and have to scroll through all the videos to see if any new birds arrived.
Also it would be nice to be able to select which bird call is played.
