Not what I'm looking for
This app bills itself as simple, and indeed it is: all it appears to do is to remind you to contact people periodically so that you don't lose touch altogether. That could be helpful to the right person, but I'm looking for a much more complete information management system in which I can track all the information a person gives me about themselves – personal history, personal preferences, and so on– so that I can be the best friend or partner to them that I can be by remembering their particulars. This isn't that app.
It's also not fully localized. I get a standard Apple system notification that Hilo would like to access my contacts, and that statement at the top of the notification is in English, and then the paragraph describing why the app wants to access my contacts is in Spanish. So it could use some polishing even for the simple use case it's designed for.
